Running Through the Darkness (A 100 Fanfic)

Run, Run

"I got nothing." Bellamy looked around.
"We lost the trail." Finn sighed, looking at Violet as she shrugged.

"Keep looking." Bellamy groaned, frustrated.

Violet stepped forward, looking around in the same areas the others already had, not seeing any clue for where the trail could have led.

"Wandering around aimlessly isn't the way to find your sister, we should backtrack."

"I'm not going back!"

"Hey! Wheres John?" One of the girls behind them called out, as Bellamy turned, realizing one of them was no longer with them.
"I just saw him a second ago." Jasper whispered, looking around.
"Spread out, he couldn't have gotten that far."
Bellamy stepped forward, getting ready to look for him, as a loud thud stopped him, and every single one of them turned, looking where the sound came from.
Violet let out a scream, as she fell backwards into Finn, as he caught her.
"HOLY SHIT!"
Johns, lifeless body fell to the ground, his neck sliced open.
Finn looked at his body, and back up from where he had fallen, "They use the trees." he whispered.

"We shouldn't have crossed the boundary!" Monroe whispered.
Violet whimpered, turning around as Monroe grabbed her hand, pulling her close and picking her up, "Now can we go back!"
"There!" Jasper pointed to a figure in the woods, less then a hundred yards away from them.
"Holy crap." Violet whispered.
"Another one!" Somebody yelled.
Violet turned her head, another grounder on the direct opposite side of them.
"Bellamy, you better have a plan!"

"We should run." Finn suggested.

"Go! Run!" Bellamy shouted, as each of them took off running.

Violet held onto Monroe, one of her arms keeping Violet from slipping.
"HOLY SHIT!" Finn yelled, ducking down as an arrow shot past him, missing both him and Violet and Monroe by a matter of inches.
"LETS GO, LETS GO!" Bellamy yelled, looking back to see even more grounders following after them.
Bellamy ducked in between the trees, "COME ON!"  "What the hell are we gonna do? They keep heading us off!" Finn coughed.

"Just keep running!"
"I cant run much longer!" Jasper yelled, straying behind as Monroe turned, watching him slow down.
She put Violet back down, breathing quickly as she stood with her hands on her knees, her sides cramping and her lungs on fire.
"I'm not stopping for him!" Diggs yelled, running past Bellamy.

"Alright, I'm sick of running anyway, everybody stop!" Bellamy argued, stopping in his tracks.
"Hey, hey! What are you doing?" Finn put his arm out, stopping Bellamy from whatever stupid decision he was about to make.

"They know where she is!"

"Diggs! Where are you?" Roma shouted, running towards the group.

"Oh shit." Bellamy whispered, "RUN!"
"ROMA!"
Violet looked up, another grounder running towards them as she turned once again- running in between Finn and Bellamy.
Violet began running.

"AAAAH!"
A loud scream echoed, as all eyes went searching for where it came from.

"BELLAMY! THATS ROMA!" Violet yelled, pointing in between the trees, a fork in the trail separating them from her, as Bellamy changed directions. "Wait! Roma!"
"Wait, there could be more stop!" Finn yelled.
Violet stopped running, catching up to the others ahead of her as she realized what they were staring at.
Diggs. A trap somehow built in such a perfect way that where he had been running, triggered it. Speared in the chest. "They were leading us here." Jasper swallowed, "it's the only direction we could run in."

"Hey, w-where'd they go?" Finn whispered, realizing all of the grounders that had been chasing them moments before, were now gone.
Bellamy looked around, confusion in his eyes as a high pitched scream echoed, "After Roma." He took off once again, keeping the others high on his trail.
Violet ducked underneath tree branches, and jumped over fallen logs, nearly falling flat on her face a few times.
"Hey! There she is!" Violet yelled, catching up to Bellamy as Finn followed closely.
"Roma!" Monroe whispered, seeing her hiding behind a tree, stiff as a board.
"Roma?" Violet whispered, stepping a a few feet closer as Finn moved past her, getting closer to Roma as the others came up to him.

Roma, just like Diggs had been speared, only this time Roma had been tracked down, and a spear thrown at her, and not swung into her body, now pinned to a tree.
"They're playing with us." Finn scoffed, looking around.
"I feel like I'm gonna throw up." Violet covered her mouth with her sleeve, looking away from Romas body, as Bellamy looked at her.
"Suck it up for a little longer."

"She only came because of me." Bellamy whispered, closing Romas eyes with the tips of his fingers.
"They can kill us whenever they want." Finn said quietly.

Violet wiped cold sweat off of her hands, stepping from foot to foot anxiously.

"THEN THEY SHOULD GET IT OVER WITH!" Jasper yelled, almost as if he was learching to die.
"Jasper!" Finn whispered, grabbing his arm as he pulled him.

"COME ON!" Jasper screamed, "WE KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE!"
Violet backed up, watching Finn and Bellamy tackle Jasper a few feet away from her, as she backed into Monroe, looking up at her as she knelt down and hugged her. "Jasper, you're scaring her!" She shouted, turning around in time to see a grounder.
"B-BELLAMY!"
"They're everywhere!" Violet yelled, pointing to three grounders across from them, the group standing in a semi circle, each of them seeing more grounders.

"We're trapped."
"You have got to be kidding me!" Violet shouted.
"What the hell is that?" Bellamy whispered, watching as the grounders began retreating- to the sound of a horn bellowing in the air.
"That horn. What does it mean?" Jasper whispered.

"Acid, acid fog!" Violet yelled, "it's acid fog!"
"We have to run." Monroe whispered.
"There's no time, get in."
