"What's wrong?"

"I'm pissed that you both ran off, alone, all night!"
"We weren't alone, it was the two of us." Finn shrugged. "That doesn't count, Finn! Wells was killed by the grounders last night." Violet let go of Finn's hand, nearly dropping the sticks in her hand.

"What?"

"Wells is dead, Finn."

Violet looked up at Clarke, in shock.
"Violet go, go find something to do." Finn shoved her shoulder, as she turned around, looking at him as if he was crazy. "I can help!"
Finn ignored her comment, looking back at Clarke.

"You're sure it's the grounders?"

"We found him outside the gates, Finn. It was grounders."

"Oh my god."

"We need to start getting weapons, and fast. The grounders aren't here to be our friends."

"Speaking of, Violet made-"

"No, we need actual useful weapons! Not the little ones she's making for fun!"

"Clarke, she's not doing it for fun." Finn looked at her with a confused expression.

"She wouldn't know how to make actual weapons, she's not making any."

"I know what I'm doing!" Violet argued, "I'm not an idiot!"

"Clarke, she helped me go hunting!"

"Both of you shut up! I cant think straight when there's two people arguing with me!"

"Clarke, she knows survival skills!"

An arrow whizzed in between Finn and Clarke, as Finn ducked, Clarke looking at where it came from.

"Did you do that?" She whispered, realizing Violet had a bow in her hands.

"I told you I can help."

"Can you make more?"

"Oh, now you believe me?" She laughed, pulling the arrow out of the dirt. She ran back to the dropship, sitting on the floor of the third level, where her and Monty had been sharing the space- his engineering supplies to try to contact the Ark and her varied collection of sharp stones and rocks, wire and strings and ropes her and Finn had found, as well as leftovers Montys radio, and some smaller sticks she had collected over the past few days.

She stuffed the materials in her pockets, her front two holding the rocks and ropes and string, her smaller back pocket holding a few of the smaller sticks.
She'd have to carry the bigger sticks and the leftover small ones.

She headed back towards the ladder, holding the extra sticks in one arm, using the second to hold onto the ladder.

She climbed down, taking her time as she went to the clearing behind the drop ship, finding the same old tall oak tree her and Finn had called their own.
She looked up at the tree, studying the distance to the top.

"Okay, here we go." She sighed.
Truth be told, she didn't want to make any bows, but she'd do it for Finn.

She placed her one free hand against the tree, relying on her legs to get her up the tree, using her legs to jump off the tree, catching one arm on the branch above her, and pulling herself up as hard as she could.
She groaned, making her way up after nearly falling.

"This is gonna take forever." She whispered, looking at how many sticks she'd have to carry up.
She'd take a breath, repeating the same steps enough to get her to the last few branches, strong enough and easy enough to use solely her feet to step up branch to branch.
