ELLIE

It's been a week since I left his place. Well, not completely left since I still ate dinner at his place most nights and even took a shower there. Sometimes I stayed the nights there as well, especially when I knew that Jackson would be getting home late. But I did my work mostly at my place. I still wasn't ready to fully come back to his place just yet. And I still hadn't had the answer to his request yet. Going back home to see both families was going to happen, sooner or later, though I hoped for the latter, surely he hoped for the former. I sighed as I didn't know what was going on with me. I had one of the world's most eligible bachelors asking for my hand in marriage, and I had a second thought about it. Ughh.. I wanted to pull all my hair out for overthinking it.

That night I dragged my suitcase full of books back to his place. Luckily he wasn't home yet so I could put all my books back to their place in peace. However, that didn't last long. I was just about to put the last book in when the door suddenly burst open. Jackson was at the door and even though at first there was worry on his face, that worry expression was gone when he spotted me in my office.

"Thank goodness you're here," he said in between catching his breath.

"What's wrong?" I asked as he seemed worried about something. However, he didn't answer me. Instead, he came ronding the desk and grabbed my hand, pulling me out of my seat and heading for the door.

"I need your help. There was an accident," he said without looking at me. "We were scouting for the place to shoot the MV and checking the equipment as well. But then, one of the crew got caught up by the cable and one of the wires holding the cable slashed his arm. It left a big gushing scar on his arm."

I frowned at his story, "Then why are you heading home instead of bringing him to the hospital?"

He looked at me over his shoulder, still pulling me toward the parking lot this time. "Well, he was afraid of hospitals. He had this hospital trauma because when he was still a kid, his parents got into an accident and he lost them both. Apparently, it was some kind of a big accident so there was a lot of chaos so there was a lot of blood, very messy and scary for a five year old. So, up until now, he never stepped into the hospital again."

"Ah," I tugged his arm to make him stop walking. "My tools! They're..."

He didn't give me a chance to finish my sentence, "I have another one in my car. I bought the exact same one as yours so if you ever need one and you didn't have yours around, I still have another one."

I was stunned at his answer. He never asked me about my tools so I didn't know that he had looked at them and bought everything in my set so I had a duplicate of everything. I was amazed at his thoughtfulness.

"What?" He asked when I kept standing still.

"Nothing," I smiled and tugged at his arm. "Let's just go and help your crew."

JACKSON

When I thought about asking for her help, I didn't think that she might need an assistant. And I didn't think that she might ask me as her assistant.

"I thought you're not afraid of blood," she said in a mix of amused and mocked tone.

I rolled my eyes. Sure I wasn't afraid of blood, if it wasn't that much. After all, I did shed a little bit of blood whenever I got my tattoo done. But, when it was flowing non stop from an open wound like the one on my crew's arm? Well, that was another story. "Jackson," she called out and I had to open my eyes. "Dab."

By now, I've understood that dab meant dabbing the wound with gauze so the blood didn't pool so she had a clearer view of the wound site. I did as she ordered me to and then shifted my gaze away from the wound. Apparently, it was deeper than I thought originally so Ellie had to make sure that it didn't cut any blood vessels or nerves.
