JACKSON
I chuckled at her misery, "Okay then, let's just choose forget your password and create a new one that you'll remember." I proceeded to process it and then opened her mail apps. Thankfully, she already put in her password so I just needed to refresh it to retrieve her new inbox. I gave her phone back so she could type in her new password before retrieving it again. This time, I managed to log into the apps and checked her account. She had followed some of her college friends and got followed by some of her friends as well, but I didn't want anyone else to see her account anymore, so I deleted them all and added my account. I smiled at the number. She only followed one person and was followed by one person only, me.
ELLIE
"Why are you smiling like an idiot?" I broke his trains of thought. He turned my phone to face me and pointed to several stuff on the screen.
"Here," he pointed to the numbers on top. "I changed your settings to private mode so only people that followed you that can see your account. And I've deleted all your followers and other accounts that you've followed before."
"Then, who am I following here?" I asked, pointing to number 1 in the following and follower columns.
"Me," he pointed to himself while grinning from ear to ear. "You only follow me and I'm your only follower. I also turn on the notification so when I posted something, you'll get notified right away. Some goes with me. I'll get notified whenever you post something."
"Okay. What now?"
"Now, move on to additional rule. If we can't talk or text on the phone, you have to update your instagram. Upload a story. Everyday. And I mean it with everyday. It takes only a few seconds to capture something and upload it, so it doesn't require much energy so you can do it everyday."
"What if I forget to do it?" I inquired since I sensed he had something up his sleeve.
"If you forget to do it," his eye twinkled with mischievous. "Then I'll upload something to my feed." He turned his phone until it was facing me and I saw the picture. The picture of his hand holding mine. I studied the picture and realized he must've taken it when I slept on his bedside yesterday.
"Wait a minute," I panicked. "Are you seriously going to use that to blackmail me? Ain't that can jeopardize your career as well?" I remembered he had zero dating scandal throughout his years as idols, something that was rare in the industry. He was only involved in several dating scandal after he got out of his old company and nothing was proven right. But, if he uploaded it to his instagram, it would be a different story. It would look as if he was admitting that he was in a relationship with someone. Or at least he was with someone.
"Why would it jeopardize my career?" he raised an eyebrow. "Last time I check, my fans were excited for any dating scandal news, even the fake ones. They even beg us to date someone so I'm granting their wishes actually. Plus, I've already said in several interviews now that I want to build a family, so if they ever found me dating someone, that means I'm on the right track to build a family."
I rolled my eyes, hearing how easy he made this sound like. The first time, we agreed to make it a secret. Which meant I didn't need to worry about being in public with him. I didn't have to worry about his fans finding out about us nor thinking about what they would say about me if they ever found out. The first time I knew he was famous, but nothing more. I had no idea how famous he was. But this time, I knew that he was famous. Really famous that he had two fandoms, one for his group and one was personally for him. Now I knew better about the meaning of the number of his followers in his account. All of his social media accounts. It wasn't just a number. It meant something.
