ELLIE
I didn't have anyone to walk me to the altar. Yeah sure, my uncle, Sophie's father, offered to walk me, but he had two daughters to walk to so I didn't want to bother him. Especially since this wasn't my first wedding. Jackson's father also offered to walk me since he had no daughter to walk to, but I didn't want to bother him as well, so I decided to walk on my own. Before the ceremony began, Sophie gave me another pep talk. But usually, the bride's family would ask her if she was really sure and that she could still run away if she didn't feel like it. But Sophie?
"I'd catch you, drag you and kill you myself if you mess this up again." That was what she said in our pep talk session. I laughed at her attempt to look fierce when someone knocked on the door. It was Jackson's mom.
"Hey Sophie, Ellie," she smiled brightly. "Can I come in?" I gave Sophie a small nod and she opened the door wider so Jackson's mom could walk through the door.
"Well, consider me as the news bearer," she fished in her bag and took out an envelope. "This is from Jackson. He told me that you banned him from seeing you?" There was a hint of amusement in her eyes when I nodded. "That's good to hear. That's why I say you're good for him. You can stop him from doing whatever he likes. Anyway, that is the letter from him, and I was supposed to make sure that you don't have cold feet. Considering you're still in your gown, can I tell him that you're not having cold feet?"
"Yes please," Sophie interrupted. "I'll make sure that she will walk through that door, all the way through the aisle until the altar."
Jackson's mom laughed at her solemn promise and turned to see me nod as well. "Okay then, I'll make sure to tell the groom not to worry. He's been on my ass to check up on you since this morning."
My jaw dropped when I heard his mother say 'ass' and Sophie was taken aback as well, but not for long before she started laughing and I followed. His mother then excused herself after saying that she would give me five minutes to read the letter and would wait for us inside the hall. Sophie also excused herself, saying that she needed to go to the toilet and gave me some private time to read the letter. I opened the letter and a smile creeped onto my face when I read it.
Hi. Hello. Dear Ellie, or how should I address you in a letter?
Oh gosh, I can't believe it. This is the 21st century and I'm writing you a letter because I'm not allowed to see you before the ceremony. This is ridiculous. Oh well...
So, this is it. Today is our wedding day. Do you feel nervous? Are you having second thoughts right now? If you do, please tell me so I can go there and convince you myself that you're making a mistake if you're having second thoughts about us. Well, maybe not see you directly, but perhaps persuading you from behind the door so I still can't see you? I know you don't want to mess this up, and I do too. So even though it's killing me for not being able to see you, I'll try to endure it for a couple more hours. After that, I'll have all the time in the world to see you. But if you're asking me, let me tell you, sleeping without you by my side is a torture. I can't believe I was able to sleep with the boys for years at the dorm. Right now, I might kill Bambam if he opened his mouth once more. It's a headache hearing him talking all night, teasing Jaebeom hyung endlessly. I might need to consult you on how to murder someone without a trace, because I'm considering killing Bambam right now.
