I walked up to a tree branch that has fallen to the ground. Jasper was right behind me. "You know, don't you?" Jasper asked. "I did, you may think I care but I don't care about that," I shook my head, turning around. I made eye contact with Jasper. "But I am confused about the treaty," I added.

"They wanted to protect themselves," he answered. "How old are you?" I asked. "I'm curious," he chuckled at me. "Nineteen," Jasper added. "How long have you been nineteen?" I asked. Jasper saw he can't hide anymore. Honesty was an enormous risk, but he has to take it.

"....A while," he replied as I sighed. I give him a 'really' look. "I know what the Cold Ones are," I looked up at him. "What you are," I said, it was to be dramatic. "Say it. Out loud. Say it," Jasper asked me, joining me. I could hear the smile in his voice. But with a hint of sacredness.

The noises stopped as I whispered it. I was slightly leaning back on Jasper's chest. ".....Vampire," I whispered as Jasper nodded. I turned and grabbed his shirt as Jasper pulled me closer to him. I hold onto him as I look up at him. "Why do you have this effect on me?" I asked.

"You're my blood singer, who happens to be my mate," he answered. I stood up on my toes and kissed him. He responded. I put him closer to me and I wrapped my arms around his neck. Jasper lightly pushed me against the tree behind me.

Jasper pulled back as we looked into each other's eyes.  "When were you turned?" I asked. "1863," Jasper answered. "I've been looking for you since I met Alice." "Why?" I asked. "She wanted to meet you so much," Jasper shook his head. "She told me that she had a vision of you meeting me. She thinks of you as a sister."

"I want another sister," I giggled. "We should meet up." "You will," Jasper asked. "You have to ask me the most basic question: what do we eat?" I leaned closer to him. "I don't care about what you eat. I know you won't hurt me," I reminded him. "If you want to, you could have killed me. I know it. You're different. So am I."

"You think you know me?" Jasper asked as he grabbed my hand. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Up the mountain. Out of the cloud bank," Jasper replied. "You need to see what I am. What I look like in the harsh light of the sun." "Wait! Won't you burn?" I asked, worried. "I don't want to lose you."
