Headlights blinded us as a silver Volvo and another car screeched up. The frat boys dove out of the way. The unknown car pulls up to me as someone pulls the passenger-side door. I saw it was Jasper. I was too stunned to even move. "Get in," Jasper told me as I got in, shutting the door.
Bella got into Edward's Volvo as well. Edward and Jasper got out of their cars. "That was a pretty dangerous maneuver you just did," the frat boy said. They look at the frat boy in anger. I never saw his glare so chilling, so animalistic in its fury that the boy, scared, instinctively backs off.
As Jasper climbs back into the car. Jay walked up to the frat boys with a smirk on his face. "Jay?" He nodded to Jasper as we drove away. My eyes widened as I saw wings come out of Jay's back as he attacked the boys and they fall to the ground. I just stared at Jasper in shock as he was seething with anger, hands gripping the steering wheel, jaw clenched.
"How did you find me?" I asked him after I got out of shock. "I should go back and rip their heads off," Jasper snarled through gritted teeth. "No. Bad idea," I reminded him. "You don't know the vile, repulsive things they were feeling and were going to do," Jasper told me as I looked at him, confused.
"And you do? What were they feeling" I asked. "Not hard to guess," Jasper told me as he pulled up to the restaurant. I saw Bella and Edward walking up as Jessica, Angela, and Christine exited the restaurant. I got out when they saw us. Christine let out a sigh of relief when she saw us.
She hugged me and asked if I was okay. I looked at her. I gave her a 'We need to talk later' look. She nodded. "Where were you!? We left you two a message," Angela asked us. "We waited, but we were starving-," Jessica started to say as they saw Edward and Jasper behind Bella and me, climbing out of their cars.
They froze, agog. Christine smirked at me as I blushed. Jasper and Edward are composed now, making an effort to be charming. And they are charmed. "Sorry, we kept Bella and Odette from dinner. We ran into each other and got talking," Jasper spoke up.
"I - we - understand. We were just... leaving, so-," Jessica said as they start to go. Bella was starting to follow them as Edward asked her to come with him inside. I watched them go inside as I was forced to go with them. "Thank you, Jasper," I thanked Jasper as I followed the girls.
