"Haah! Nii-san, just what kind of deal did you make?" Rias was seriously concerned about her brother, even going so far as to rub her eyes out of sheer exhaustion. "How come you, the Maou of our people, lost to a simple human? How is that even possible?"

"Ah! Rias, you see, she caught me off guard..." Sirzechs Lucifer offered a very bitter smile through the feed. One could say it was quite forced.

"Caught you off guard? Please, Nii-san, please tell me that's some kind of joke." It was too obvious. Even Rias did not believe that sad excuse. Her brother most likely lost intentionally, paying Gillian enough to help her — or even tricking that strange human into feeling herself in the reins and helping them out from her sheer feeling of superiority.

Just once, it would be so good if her brother doesn't try to pester her but let her walk her own path — grow to be strong through her own effort.

"Do you know me as such, dear sister? If I would have won, you would now have a powerful servant for free. But alas, she was trickier than I expected, and I lost. It is shameful, but even I am not unbeatable." Sirzechs lowered his head, his shoulders visibly trembling.

Be it out of rage, frustration, or some unknown reason, even Rias Gremory can't tell.

"You don't say...wait!? You wanted to force her into my peerage through a deal?!" Rias' eyes widened suddenly, then sharpened, filled with anger. "Nii-san! How could you!? I can solve my own problems alone! How many times do I have to tell you!?"

"I know! I know! Sorry about that." Sirzechs raised his hands forfeiting, smiling apologetic. "You just complained she is hard to crack last time. I thought a nudge could herd her in the right direction, that's all. Everyone wins! Her, as well as you!"

"!"

"Ah! That glare makes you even cuter! It makes you resemble your mother so mu..."

"Ni-Nii-san!" Rias shuttered, completely flustered. "Stop it!"

"Ah, sorry, you are just so cute, my Rias. You've grown so much!" Sirzechs sniffed, wiping away a phantom tear. "But returning to the topic of our call, I guess, then she arrived already? No?"

"Ugh! Please, don't even mention it." Rias turned her head away, unable to say if she was glad or distressed to receive such help after what happened today.

"It was that bad? What happened?" The Maou of Red raised his brow, concerned, worrying for a moment for his little deal not to cause more harm than the problem it solves.

"Haah! Don't even ask." The princess of the Gremory family lowered her head, sighing exhausted.

It was the middle of the night, and most of her Peerage already retreated to their quarters to get their deserved sleep. After their long day of training, they really deserved some rest. Yet, the King piece of the Peerage just can't! In some way, she just can't!

After what happened today, she just can't! Too many things were on her mind, too many things were bothering the Gremory princess to even think about resting peacefully!

"Rias, if she has caused any problem, I will..."

"I..." Rias bit her lip, withholding that little event that happened earlier that day. No! She can't burden her brother further with this! It was bad enough he was making deals behind her back, just to help her.

She didn't need more of his meddling and the abuse of his Satan title! Moreover, his further interference might cause an even bigger accident!

Yes, she needed help! Against Riser, every little bit of help she needed.
