Farmer's Refuted (Rewrite)

6 1 1

Note: Just in case for clarification, this does not mean I don't like the requested original version. I love and enjoyed writing it, and I've grown some emotional attachment to it since it's the first song that I've revised since I moved this from Quotev. Especially that Harry is being very very sassy. I just wanted to tweak it and write this in a different scenario just for fun, and see how I improved (lyric wise and accuracy, even though the Umbridge one is really accurate) over the months.

I'm also kind of having a struggle to brainstorm for what characters and songs to do, lack of motivation for this, and working on many writing projects at once since my brain can't focus on one thing. I hope you understand and don't mind. Enjoy!

Hear ye! hear ye!

My name is Rita Skeeter!
And I present "Free Thoughts on the Proceedings of the Boy who Lies"!

Heed not the rabble who scream "You-Know-Who is back!"
They have not your interests at heart

[Hermione]

Oh my Merlin, tear this cow apart

[Rita Skeeter]

Chaos and bloodshed are not a solution
Don't let them lead you astray
The Ministry does not speak for me

[McGonagall]

Let her be

[Rita Skeeter]

They're playing a dangerous game
I pray the minster shows you his mercy
For shame, for shame

[Harry (Rita Skeeter)]

Yo, he'd have you all unravel at the (heed not the rabble)
Sound of screams but the (who scream)
Revolution is comin' (revolution, they)
The have-nots are gonna (have not your)
Win this (interests)
It's hard to listen to you with a straight face (at heart)
Chaos and bloodshed already haunt us (chaos and bloodshed are not a)
Honestly, you shouldn't even talk (solution)
And what about Bertha Jorkins? (Don't let them)
Look at the cost, n' all that we've lost n' you talk (lead you astray)
About the ministry?

[Rita Skeeter]

The Ministry does not speak for me

[Harry]
My dog speaks more eloquently than thee

[Rita Skeeter]
They're playing a dangerous game

[Harry]
But strangely, your mange is the same~

[Rita Skeeter]

I pray the minister shows you his mercy

[Harry]

Is he in Jersey?

[Rita Skeeter]
For shame

[Harry Potter]

For the revolution!

[Rita Skeeter]

For shame!

[Students]

For the revolution!

[Skeeter]

[Harry]

If you repeat yourself again I'm gonna-

[Both]

Scream

[Harry]

Honestly, look at me, please don't read!

[Rita Skeeter]

Not your interests-!

[Harry]

Don't modulate the key then not debate with me!

Why should a world across the sea regulate this cow's words of bleach?

[McGonagall]

Mr. Potter please-!

[Harry]

Professor, I'd rather be divisive than indecisive

Drop the niceties!

[Random Ministry Workers]
