oh my alice;
you jump into the rabbit holes of my life,
to go where i go; we cannot be apart.
since the day our lives started, you've been there,
inquisitive like the birds, a blooming flower.
you're my cheshire cat;
your smile lights up the swirling night, and guides me through the green when i am lost.
you've always loved the moon as i have,
and treasured the little wonders in our wonderland.
my white rabbit;
you know who you are, where you're meant to be, you seem to have it all figured out. but i know you, and you don't, and i love you regardless,
because i'm figuring it all out too.
the march hare to my mad hatter;
nobody understands the depth of my character as you do,
and no one sees the world quite through our eyes. but i see you, and i hear you; i'll never stop being me
and helping you be you.
you are my wonderland;
you are the place i trust. you're not just a human;
you're not just my sister.
you're my home, my temple, my safe space, my friend, my fire.
i love you.

hi, i'm madi. i just created this account to share some of my thoughts, i don't really care how good my writing is, i'm just doing this for me and hoping that at least one person finds validation or hope in my words. this poem is about my sister, the most important person in my life, and she's always loved walt disney's alice in wonderland so i just wrote this one day for her.
