Chapter 26

     "N'Saint here are the papers you need to review.I am sorry that you will have to be this busy on your first week.We didn't expect that Jane will suddenly resign.",Mrs.Han said.She is Saint's manager.

     Yes,Saint has been hired in the company he applied weeks ago.The starting salary may not be that much but at least it will help him finance their family's needs.He will be working on weekdays and planning on doing her part time job as a drag queen on weekends.He just can't leave that job yet because Saint knew he earns big on that job.He has a lot of debt to pay.Then there's the theraphy session and maintenance medication of his mom and Preeda's tuition fee.He has to be very practical.But also the guilt he felt for not telling Perth about his secret job is eating him up.He hope he can find the right time to tell him of everything.When?He will leave it up to fate itself.

     "No worries,Mrs.Han.This is part of my job and I am being paid for these.",Saint with his brighter than the sun smile.

     "Oh!If I am in your age I will surely fall for your charm,Saint.No wonder a lot of the girls here are making their moves on you.",Mrs.Han gave Saint a warm motherly smile.

     "Maybe they just find me being friendly and nice to them.And,I am already taken Mrs.Han.I love my special person so much.",with that said Saint blushed.

     "You're special person is lucky to have you.",then Mrs.Han walk back to her office.

     No Mrs.Han,I am the one who is blessed and lucky enough to have him in my life.Saint thought to himself before he went through the papers infront of him.

     This routine went on for months for Saint.His manager and the higher-ups were happy to see how hardworking and smart Saint was.He is indeed an asset to their company.That is why he is commended to meet their company's CEO who happens to be the owner's son of  JP Enterprise Corporation,in which he currently work.

     "Don't be too nervous Saint.Our CEO is one of the nicest and kindest boss I've ever met in my entire career.Besides,it is not that you did something wrong that is why you are meeting him.But because you have done really well.Good luck!You can go inside now.Sir is waiting for you.",and Mrs.Han guided Saint towards the CEO's office door.

     It took Saint a few minutes before he knock the door.And when the person inside said for him to come in,he took one last deep breath before he come inside.

     As Saint step inside the office,the CEO is facing the window and his back facing Saint.He is still talking on his phone.So Saint stood still for it will be rude for him to just sit down.

     Then after awhile the CEO bid his goodbye to the person on the other line and went to face their new employee which he heard has been making an impressive work for their company.

     "Sorry for making you wait.Have a..it's you!",the CEO wasn't able to finish what he's about to say when he saw the person he's been longing to see again after a long time.

     Saint was taken aback.He was surprise to see that their CEO seem to know him.He can't even remember if they have met before.

     "It's you!The one I bumped in the hotel resort.The one who spilled his drinks on my shirt.Do you remember?",Mr.Jack Phongprasat,the CEO of JP Enterprise Corp. and the son of Mr.Jaime Phongprasat,the owner of their company.

     Saint wasn't able to answer back as he was too surprised and embarrassed at the same time as the memories of their beach vacation came back.

     "Sorry!Did I shocked you that much?",suddenly Jack feel worried for Saint as the latter look to stunned to speak.He walk towards Saint.

     Before Jack came near Saint finally he was able to regain   back his senses."Sorry sir for what happened before.Is that the reason why you wanted to see me?",worriedness came into Saint's face.

     "No!No!Actually this is the first I knew that you are working here.If I have known it before,I should have called for you already.",Jack wanted to even say that he has been longing to see him again but never uttered it for he doesn't want Saint to feel uncomfortable towards him instead he continue by saying,"Please take a seat you've been standing for too long."

     And Saint went to sit infront of Jack's office desk.

     "The reason why you are being called is because your manager has been saying nothing but praises about you.You have only been working here for a couple months and yet,the strategies you suggested to the planning team has been doing great.And everyone agreed that you should be promoted.That is why I want to personally talk to the person they've been praising and giving our company such great feedbacks and income as well.Then,this happened.It seems that the person I've met accidentally before was the person I also need to give thanks to.",Jack said while giving Saint a big smile.

     "Sir..I..sir..I am really sorry for what happened in the past.I admit I was careless that time.I didn't know that we will meet again under this circumstance.Nevertheless,I am happy to know that you are my big boss.I hope you won't punish me for my action in the past.",Saint bow his head.

     "Please don't do that.Look at me!As I've said it was an accident.I never did get mad at you.Instead,I am happy to know that you are working in our company.I guess we will be seeing each other more often starting today."

     "Huh?!"

     "Awhile ago,I've mentioned that you are being promoted.Starting tomorrow you will work as the team manager for the Special Project Division.You will work on the ads and promotion of our products and projects.Other employees from different department will be under you.You will be composed of 15 people including you.I will be expecting more from your team,Saint.",then Jack extended his hand to Saint for a handshake.

     Tho still too surprised Saint accepted Jack's hand happily.He can't believe he will be promoted this soon.

     "Thank you Sir for trusting me this much.I promise,no,I will prove to you and to the other department heads that I am worthy of my promotion.",Saint said with conviction.He is too overwhelmed for this wonderful news.

     "Hmm,Saint,can you just call me Jack instead.I don't like the sound of you calling me sir."

     "Sorry sir,but that will be rude and too impolite for me.Can I call you Mr.Jack instead?",Saint said.

     "Okay.Mr.Jack it is.Oh!I think I have taken too much of your time,Saint.",as Jack look at his watch.

     Saint thought that this was his cue to bid his goodbye."Oh yes sir!I mean Mr.Jack.I have to excuse myself for now.And again,thank you for giving me this great opportunity." Then he turned his back to leave.

     "Saint!Wait!It's almost the end of office hour.Would you care to have dinner with me?You know..umm..to celebrate your promotion?",Jack have that pleasing face as Ssint turned to look at him.

     After a few seconds of hesitation,Saint gave in.Who was he to decline the offer of their CEO after giving him a big break in his work?

     "Okay Mr.Jack.I just need to get my things and meet you outside the building.Will it be okay with you?",Saint then ask.

     "Okay sure.I will be waiting on my car then.",Jack said with excitement.

     "Mr.Jack,can I ask a favor?Can we just take a cab instead.I don't want the other employees misunderstand if they see us riding in your car.And please allow me to treat you.This dinner will be on me,Mr.Jack since I got promoted.If you won't agree,then I have to decline your invitation Mr.Jack.",Saint doesn't want to have any issues with the other employees and to the company itself.That is why he wanted Mr.Jack to know that he doesn't want any special treatment from any higher officials nor from the CEO itself.

     Jack doesn't want to be in the bad side,so he agreed right away.He wanted to know more about Saint.He wanted to be close to him...
