Chapter Twenty - Tensions rise

Classes continued as the 'champions' were taken from classes every now and then. Rita Skeeter wrote the most ridiculous stories about Harry. In fact she was obsessed barely giving the other champions a mention. Things between Harry and Ron were Rocky, as for the moment they drifted apart. Harry was either on his own or with Hermione and me...or just me. Though today he was with Neville and myself.

"Amazing....Amazing." Neville breathed in well in amazement, I sat reading a book while Neville was in the lake scrounging up some things for herbology.

"Neville you're doing it again." Harry commented

"Oh, right sorry." Neville apologised again, by his own admission he told us to correct him after we got annoyed a hour ago,

"Magical water plants of the highlands locks?" Harry questioned the book that had brought on this new happiness for Neville

"Moody gave it to me, the day we had tea." he told us though I didn't look up from my reading, till Harry knocked my arm. I looked over and he stood up. I peered around the tree to see, Hermione, Ron and Ginny come down. I got up and joined my friend. Hermione came over annoyed by everything going on.

"Ronald would like me to tell you that Seamus told him that Dean was told by Parvati that Hagrid's looking for you." she relayed the message.

"Is that right? Well, you...what?" he was confused. Hermione tried to get it straight in her head but couldn't so went back to Ron and asked "Dean was told by Parvati...please don't make me say it again. Hagrid's looking for you." she went to leave

"Well you can tell Ronald..." she cut Harry off

"I'm not a owl" she snapped at him and left with Ginny, Ron followed after. Harry looked at me and I raised my hands not getting involved

"He's your best friend."

The next day I was struggled with some text books across the garden when I saw a commotion. I went to see what was going on.

"What did I miss?" I ask Cedric

"Moody turned your brother into a ferret." He pointed to the flying ferret while laughing. My jaw slackened as Professor McGonagall turned him back.

"My father will hear about this." he sneered at the professor who chased him and my brother came and hid behind me and rested his hands on my shoulders

"Is that a threat? Oh now you hide behind you sister?" Moody stopped "I could tell you stories about your father that would curl even your greasy hair." I dropped my books and took out my wand

"Back off!" I shouted and he stepped back

"Miss Malfoy lower your wand." I did so and ticked it back into my boot. Then dipped down to grab the books before grabbing my brother by the robe and dragging him away. Once we were far enough I shoved him to the ground

"What did you do?!" I glared at him

"Why do you assume I did something?" he groaned

"Because I'm not stupid, you moron. I'm your twin sister and despite what our parents preach I am the good child. What. did . you. do?" I asked again he huffed and stood up

"I was only talking with Potter...." I cut him off

"And there we go. You never simply talk to Harry. I do. You, tease, torment and bully. I'm guess I'm right and whatever you said or did, set Moody off. And like a little girl you come running to sister in lue of father. Let me be clear I do not approve of your actions when it comes to my friends because your never nice to them. While wrong in actions punishing you for what you did will gain my support."

"But I'm your brother." he snipped

"When it suits you." he froze "Whenever something goes wrong or something bad happens like I'm in danger, then your the concerned brother. Apart from that you either vaguely call me a blood traitor, torment my friends or snitch on me to father for something innocent. You have used the excuse of different houses to justify your actions, it's rubbish. Now got back to your cronies and lick your wounds." I saunter off
