"It's not exactly what I was expecting."

"The understatement of the year." Five muttered under his breath as I shivered. There lied Leonard Peabody with several knives inside his body, obviously dead.

I smiled at the sight of him. He got what he deserved. It's too bad I wasn't the one to smash him to pieces.

"No sign of Vanya. Let's get out of here before the cops come." Diego suggested. I nodded, but kept my eyes on Leonard's body.

"In a minute" Five answered as he walked towards Leonard's corpse.

"Come on, Five, what are you..." Diego trailed off in annoyance before Five took off the eye patch. He opened the eyelids and shoved the prosthetic eye in it.

"Ugh, wow."

"Same eye color, same pupil size. Guys... this is it." Five said under his breath as he pulled the eyeball back out. I gagged and turned away.

"The eye I've been carrying around for decades, it... it's found its rightful home." Five said as he put the eye back in his pocket.

"Stop talking about the eye like it's a dog. It's unsettling." I ordered with a scrunched nose. Five took my hand and I smiled.

"Don't you see what I'm saying?" Five asked me with an excited tone. I shook my head slowly.

"We got the guy we needed to kill to stop the apocalypse." Five smiled. My face brightened. We did it. Well... we didn't really do it, but the apocalypse is stopped. A win is a win.

"Yay! Let's go." Klaus tried to run away, but Diego grabbed his arm, pulling him back, while keeping his attention to Leonard.

"No, no. Wait. It can't be this easy..." Diego replied with a hint of doubt. He had a point. It seemed like this was all handed to us on a silver platter.

"Look." Five demanded as he pulled out the piece of paper that we found at the commission. "This is the note I got from the commission. The one that says, 'Protect Harold Jenkins.' AKA Leonard Peabody." Five finished.

"But who killed him?" Diego questioned. "Who did this?"

My eyes widened and I locked eyes with Five. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
