In ancient times, when man was young and wild
They roamed the land, hunters, free and bold
They lived in caves and wore the skins of beasts
To keep the cold and rain from their bare skin

But as the years passed, man's knowledge grew
They learned to till the soil and tend their crops anew
They built their homes from wood and stone and clay
And forged the tools that would carve the next day

As they conquered lands and built cities grand
Their thirst for power and wealth did not subside
They turned their weapons on their fellow man
And plunged the world into the bloodiest tide
