"Tobias are you sleeping? You need to get up." "Cmon Brooks leave him alone he's only going to cause troub- oh crap!"

Toby's hand shot out and grabbed the person who had just poked him.

"Good morning Tobias! It's nearly time for second period. You seem to have fallen asleep during class.."

"Yeah ya think? I mean yeah I guess I did how strange of me." Toby said gathering his things.

"Strange? that's not strange of you to do." Said the boy who stood next to Brooks.

Toby shot him a quick death glare
That made the boy shut up. "So Brooks what do you do for fun around here." Toby asked while the two walked in the halls.

"I told you on our way back to class remember ?"

"Oh yeah for sure I just seem to have forgotten.."

"Well I go to the local library a lot you know the one next to that little bakery shop and I sometimes go to the record store-"

"Brooks my guy what's up!" Said the boy Toby had recently beat up.

Toby made a quick get away before the loser could notice who brooks was talking too.

Toby sat through his next few classes thinking about how he should proceed with his plan.

'I need to get him alone. He always has someone glued to his side or ends up running into someone he knows. He said something about a library right? Maybe we can meet there and study. I'll tell him I need a book for a class and while he's gone looking for it I'll quickly grab his notes and homework and copy them. Yup that will work.'

Toby walked into his final period surprised to see Brooks sitting in an empty table.

He quickly rushed over to him before a group of people would soon form around Brooks.

"Hey Brooks are you busy tonight? If not I think we should study together. How about at a library. That'd be cool right?"

"Sure man but I got a game tonight so we might have to do it at a later time, is 9 alright?"

"Yeah that's cool, the library by that little bakery shop right ?"

"Ha yup that's the one!"

Toby  turned around and sat down. His head hurting from such a nice conversation.

Toby felt the empty seat next to him move which made him jolt up.

"Hey it's just me. We're partners. Didn't you hear the teacher drawing names for this?" Brooks said.

"Huh oh yeah the um project thing yup I was totally paying attention."

Toby looked around the room and saw the students turning to face the two and giggling.

What a joke. Goody two shoes having to be partners with me. How hilarious.

"Sooo what are we doing."

"We're supposed to write a argumentative essay about the pros and cons of social media."

"What that's stupid who gives a shit."

"..."

"Um Is probably what people who are on social media too much think when they hear that topic.."

"That's so true Tobias. Good thinking"

The two sat in silence for the rest of the period. Brooks probably doing some real research while Toby looked up sports teams.

If hes going actually go throw with the plan he might as well put in some effort. Toby tried to remember what Brooks said about what his interest were while they were walking back to their first period.

'Something about basketball and football ugh gross'

Toby made his way into the kitchen to tell Rita he'd stayed out of trouble. Rita congratulated him and told him they'd go out and celebrate.

Tony declined the invitation out and said it was fine to just eat take out instead.

While in his room he began to grow ashamed that at his grown age he'd just been congratulated for doing good. How pathetic.
