Toby felt like he'd just been sleeping on a brick. He soon realized that it was not a brick but Brooks chest.

He stood up quickly.

He later regretted it because of how painful it was sitting up that fast.

Toby jumped at the sound of knocking at his door. "Yeah" was Toby's  way of saying come in.

Rita opened the door. "Good morning, I'm opening the restaurant soon why don't you two come get something to eat?"

"I'm not sure if he's hungry.."

"I am" brooks said in a raspy voice.

Rita and Toby's eyes widen as they saw the boy in his bed was shirtless.

Rita eyeballed Toby and his face exploded with red.

"Alright I'll make breakfast. Come down once your ready." And with that Rita left.

"My arm hurts" brooks said as he stretched it out. Flash backs of Toby's body being nearly curled up on top of Brooks ran through his mind.

Toby leaned forward to grab a shirt off the floor but that nearly knocked the wind out of him.

Brooks hopped out of bed and stood infront of toby. "Here lift your arms" brooks commanded.

"Why?"

"Because you need to change"

"But I can-"

"Tobias please."

Toby lifted his arms up which was very painful. Brooks lifted the slightly bloody shirt off of toby.

He tensed up when brooks pulled down his pants.

He gasped when he felt Brooks light touch on the cut on his inner thigh.

"B-brooks.." toby grabbed his hand trying to pull it away but failed because of lack of energy.

"We'll have to pick up some scar cream." Brooks looked up at Toby but toby had to quickly look away. The sight of Brooks between Toby's legs made him feel weird.

While brooks dressed him he basically kept his eyes closed the whole time.

The two walked down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Smells great" brooks said as he helped Toby into a seat.

"I'm going to go ask if Rita needs any help, alright?"

Toby shook his head.

His head felt like it was going to explode due to all the things running through his head.

Why was he feeling this way? And why does it have to be towards a man? No, why does it have to be towards Brooks of all people.

It wasn't that he liked, liked brooks. No he just admired him that all. Yup that's all.

"I've got scrambled and also some fried eggs." Rita said placing down a few plates.

Brooks walked in with a ton more plates. "I need to hire him right?!"

"Rita why so much food.."

"Well Toby I'm sure you've seen the size of this guy right?" Rita winked as she patted Brooks muscular arm.

"Thank you Rita. I'm going to go wash up before I eat." Brooks said heading upstairs.

Rite nodded.

"So Toby-"

"I don't wanna talk about it."

"That's fine. But what's with you sleeping with the hulk hm?"

"Uh- don't say it like that.. you know..he's the reason I've stayed out of trouble right?"

Rita looked confused as she stared at Toby's bruised skin.

"At school.. he's kept me out of trouble at school. He's nice and popular yknow everything I'm not, he is."

Toby looked down and started playing with his food.

"I know I don't tell you to do things often. But you better listen."

Toby looked up from his plate a bit intrigued.

"You better keep that boy close to you, you hear me? He's a good boy and has helped you more than I ever could. Just please if you don't do it for me, do it for yourself and keep his close."

Toby didn't reply because Brooks walked back into the room.

-

"Here let me help you with the dishes" Brooks said as he picked up the plates.

"Brooks this is her job, she does this every day."

"I know but I just like-"

"Like to help yeah I know."

"Oh don't mind him he's always in a pissy mood in the mornings."

"Not a morning person, got it"

-

"This should be the last of them." Brooks said as he placed the last few cups in the sink.

"Listen I don't know how or why Toby befriended you but let me tell you it's never happened."

Brooks had a confused look on his face.

"He's never had someone really care for him. Sure I care about him but there's only so much I can do. But you, you don't understand how much this matters to me and hopefully to him as well. I know he can be a prick but please just see past that and I'm sure you do. He's a good boy he just needed someone to help him turn in the right direction and I believe he's found that person."
