┆" you and me, we used to be together. every day together, always. . . i really feel that i'm losin' my best friend. i can't believe this could be the end . . ."
❛ you and him - bunch of bullshit! ❜
❛ y/n, pleas...
WEEKS EARLIER, Y/N STRODE down the corridor, determined. Early in the morning of Monday, Madam Pomfrey had allowed Y/n to leave the Hospital wing after a whole day of mending her injury, recovering rather quickly. Y/n saw the worry in her eyes when her ribs began glowing a color of blue.
"Dear, I've never seen this before," she said, adding a lotion scrub underneath her bandages.
Turning the corner, Y/n reached the Great Hall where breakfast was being served. She scanned the room, left to right, spotting Harry, Ron, and Hermione at the very front of the Gryffindor table with an empty space next to them. At the end, Ginny sat alone, eating bits of fruits on her plate, writing on the diary.
Y/n clenched her first. She went up to Ginny, sitting in front of the girl.
Ginny looked up. She looked weak, as if everything had been drained from her body; she was a walking dead-girl. Thin, colorless, and tired, Ginny's eyes started to water. Y/n's fist loosened.
"Y/n!" she said hopefully. "I'm so sorry . . It's all my fault, I shouldn't have brought you into this. He said he wouldn't hurt anyone . . and now . . . she's dead!" she whispered under her breath, terrified.
Y/n immediately stood up, taking Ginny by the hand, so they could talk outside of the clatter inside the Great Hall. She hugged Ginny tightly before she said, "Mrs. Norris is not dead, okay?"
Ginny took a deep breath in between her crying, sighing from relief.
"Tell me Ginny," said Y/n softly, "who is this Tom Riddle?" Ginny flinched at the sound of the name. "I can't help if you don't tell me."
She nodded, trying to suck up the tears.
"He's - he's the one behind all of this," she said, looking around skeptically. "He said he need you to open the Chamber, because he knows you're a Valix . ."
( author's note: if you read the previous chapters before i changed vania to valix, this might be confusing )
Y/n stared.
"Y/n, I know what you are," said Ginny, but it wasn't a threat. "I didn't tell anyone, swear — I know you would never hurt a soul."
"I'm not worried about that," Y/n assured, patting her shoulder to ease her cries.
