Thirteen hours came quicker than I thought, thankfully, and I eventually did see Gray at lunch, much to my happiness.
I remember it very clearly. That lunch period was nice. We shared whispers and kisses and loving stares for fifty minutes without any worries about the gossiping words and the pointing fingers.
I continued to see Gray at lunch, and then in AP Stat, and then after school for the next three months, and every single day could only be described as a dream. Often did I pinch myself to confirm I was awake. And every time, I would know that I was, and I would heave a dry sigh of content and hold Gray's hand a little tighter.
Yes, those three months I was lucky see him every day. You could almost describe me as naïve within those three months of my fairytale-esque life. But because fairytales don't last in real life, your world is shattered and carelessly crumpled into bits, and as Gray so eloquently put it, the universe doesn't give a single shit about us.
Yes, I saw Gray on that day. And it all began on the one day I didn't see him.
