"Yes, Normani. I meant it when I said that I want to have you over sometime. Either that or we could maybe go out sometime." I said, the last part a little more hesitantly then the start of the sentence. I had actually been wanting to ask her out for a while now but every time that had finally managed to gain up the courage to ask, she always had something to go do and there was no way that I was going to make her stay around any longer then what she could. However, when I planned on actually asking her, I had thought of so many different ways that I would do it and over the phone as an alternate activity for this weekend was not on that list of situations.

"(Y/F/N) (Y/L/N) are you actually asking me out on a date?" Normani asked while giggling slightly into the phone. Despite the fact that she wasn't even in my bedroom which was were I currently, I couldn't stop the blush that started to cross my cheeks just at the idea of it. I bit my lip a little and nodded my head before suddenly remembering that she couldn't actually see me do anything, so I had to say something.

"If you want it to be a date then yes, I'm asking you out on a date." I responded while rolling over to where I was now laying on my back and looking up at the ceiling of my bedroom. There was a small pause on the other end of the phone and for a moment I thought that I could have possibly said something wrong, but when she finally answered I noticed that everything was okay.

"Yes, I'd love to go out with you this weekend but I have a question for you first. Two actually. Two questions and a fact. This week is over at midnight tomorrow, seeing as tomorrow will be Friday. That was the fact. Now I would love to know what day this weekend this little date it happening and where at." Normani questioned, causing me to actually start thinking. Seeing as the asking was a bit of a spur of the moment thing, I really had no idea where I wanted this date to happen or when as a matter of fact. However, being the queen of last minute thinking, I was able to give her an answer after only a few seconds of thinking.

"Well, Saturday is always a good day of the weekend because it seems like the longest so we'll have it then. Now, for the where part, I have an idea but I really don't want you to take this as creepy or anything like that." I started, having a feeling that if I told her straight out that it would be in my backyard, she would find that a little creepy. Not that saying it later would make it any less creepy, I just wanted her to be prepared for my possibly creepy answer before I actually said anything.

"Well, you kind of have to tell me even if you think it is creepy. I mean, I have to know where to show up, right?" Normani asked and I couldn't help but nod, knowing that she was right but I still just wanted to let her know. After my nodding was over I took a deep breath before I finally replied.

"This is true, but I just wanted to let you know that is may sound creepy so that you don't think I've completely lost my mind when I say this. I was thinking that we could have it in my backyard around 8 p.m..." I trailed off, not really knowing how this news would be taken. I had expected a small moment of silence to pass over the phone as she processed what I had just said but there was none. She responded immediately.

"Okay then, that sounds good. Do I need to bring anything for this date in your backyard?" She questioned, a small giggle leaving her lips at the end of the sentence. I let out a sigh of relief before shaking my head slightly.

"Nope, I've got everything here. Just bring your cute self and we hopefully we will have a wonderful night. Oh! Don't eat before you come, I'll have something made." I quickly responded. She told me that she would see me there before telling me that the girls needed her to do something. I told her to have fun with the girls before we finally said our good-byes and then hung up the phones. Once I had set my phone on my nightstand, I smiled widely to myself before letting out a small squeal of happiness at what had just happened. I had finally managed to plan a date with Normani and I couldn't have been any happier.
