Dinah/You - Basketball game in the park

"Come on in, the girls won't be here for a little while and I really would like to hang out some more." Dinah told me as we arrived at the door of her shared hotel room. I bit my lips lightly, loving the idea of being able to come inside and stay with her for a little longer but I knew that I couldn't. My next practice would be in less then an hour and I know that if I'm to take her up on her offer there is no way that I will want to leave to go to practice when the time comes. Slowly letting go of my lip as I put my hands in the pockets of my jeans. I shook my head.

"Dinah, I'd love to but there is somewhere that I have to be in less then an hour and I know if I follow you inside now, I will not want to leave in an hour." I explained, not exactly loving the little frown that was slowly forming on her lips as I spoke. Eventually I had to look away so that I wouldn't cave in and actually go inside to spent some more time with her. There was a very small moment of silence between the two of us before she finally spoke up.

"Can we still hang out some other time?" She asked, causing me to look up at here. There was a certain tone in her voice that made me thing she didn't expect my answer to be yes and I hated it. However, that tone as well as the small frown on her lips were gone the moment that I nodded my head in response.

"Yeah, of course we can and if I didn't have to leave in an hour, I would love to continue spending time with you but I can't. How about I text you and set something up whenever I know I'll have the time to spend the entire day with you? A day where you have my full attention." I suggested while moving one of my hand out of my pocket before running it through my hair a little, waiting on her to answer.

"I'd love that. I'll be here the rest of the day if you also want to stop by, but if you don't that's cool too. I'll be waiting on that message." She said with a smile on her face before she told me good-bye and walked back into the hotel room. I smiled widely to myself before turning around and walking towards my own hotel room, practically jumping with joy at the fact that she had said yes to hanging out with me once again even after I had just told her that I needed to leave her for something else.

When I was pulling out the key to unlock the door of my hotel room, I noticed something on the door itself that caused me to hesitate ever so slightly. I Knew that the little piece of paper had not been there before I had left to go out for lunch, so the fact that it was there now had peaked me interest. I defiantly wanted to find out what it was about. Reaching up, I pulled the taped piece of paper off of the door and looked at it, a wide smile forming across my face as I started to read it and finally found out what it was advertising.

Looking for something interesting to do this weekend? Well then do I have the thing for you! Come on down to the local park to support the youth group as they take on a few NBA all-stars that were wiling to give there time to have this wonderful game. Bring some food, maybe a friend and support the local group in what will be an awesome basketball game!

Upon reading this, I couldn't stop the idea that was forming in my mind. Reading a little further down, I soon found the location of the park where the game was taking place as well as what time it would be taking place. There was also a small list of a couple of the NBA players that would be there but at the moment that was not relevant to me. I just needed to know the time and place.

My feet moved before I had even made up my mind completely and soon enough, I was knocking on the room that I now knew belonged to Dinah as well as the other girls. A few seconds after I had knocked on the door, a rather confused Dinah opened the door and raised her eyebrows at me for a moment. Before she got the chance to say anything about why I was back so soon, I smiled widely at her.
