Grace starts to regain consciousness, the sound of machines beeping and whirring around her, it wasn’t the best sound to come back to reality to.
She glances around her current surroundings, with the restraints still keeping her firmly in place it wasn’t hard to achieve yet the only difference was that tubes and wires came from her body, the majority of those were connected to the machinery.

"Patient is finally conscious," Edward said appearing over Grace's head as if from nowhere at all, her whole body tensed, all the things that man had done to her already and he wasn’t giving up anytime soon or that was how it felt in her mind at least. She was confused about Edward more than anything that she had come across, especially with the way he was with her in the hospital, it was so unlike the way he was currently acting.

"What are you doing to me?" Grace starts to struggle against the leather restraints, hoping they would at least loosen or break, while Edward continued to talk medical nonsense to himself into a tape recorder, ignoring Grace’s pleas, she knew for a fact and promised herself if she was able to get out of that place, he would pay for every minuscule little thing he had done to her in those last few months. “You…you are doing all of this to me now. Torturing and tormenting me…why were you in the hospital?”

Her eyes go wide, remembering what she had seen before passing out, she glanced over to the other table once again but this time he wasn’t there, had it just been a dream or a hallucination? "Dad?" Grace’s attention moves back over to Edward once again, confusion and hatred etched all over her facial features. "My father was here? What have you done to him? If you have touched a single hair on his head. I will kill you.” Grace shouts out loudly, causing her nostrils to flare with anger.

"He's been taken care of...and I have done more than just touch his hair, Hunny," Edward muttered underneath his breath, he put a breathing mask over her face, she tried to fight against his actions, but the restraints stop her from getting out of his grasp. She took in a large breath, trying to hold her breath to stop the substance from knocking her out again, yet there was no use, Edward didn’t seem the type to give up too easily at all. It gave her the impression that she wasn’t going to be getting the questions answered at all at that moment.

"Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven." Edward counts down as Grace falls into unconsciousness, a part of her knew that all of this being knocked out wasn’t going to do much for her in the long run of everything.

Flashback

“He is your maker Grayson, the only person in this world who you trust with your life. I have to meet him and we have to tell him the news of our engagement.” Grace said with a playful pout while they were walking towards the front door, glancing down towards her hand, the ring gleaming in the sunlight as they walked. Grayson was currently having doubts about introducing Grace into his life, even though they had been together for more than a while and are now engaged, he didn’t want any danger coming her way and danger was always in his path. Anthony was the only person apart from Grace who he trusted, after all, he wouldn’t be the man, he is today without him, he was like a father figure to Grayson.

Grayson rolled his eyes when seeing the pout on Grace’s lower lip. “I know who he is...” He paused before placing hands on her shoulders to keep her still, he was a foot taller than her, and, in the position, they were currently in he was towered above her. “It is the fact that once I introduce the two of you, I know for a fact that it will be my worst nightmare and you two will gang up on me...” He teased playfully before turning Grace around and leading her towards the large entrance doors.

Grace walked through the entrance, and her eyes immediately filled with awe at the place, it was huge and so very elegant looking, almost like something from a historical novel. The entrance hall was big enough to host a ball and the winding staircase leading to the second level was lined with gold and delicate jewels. She turns to face Grayson, looking up into his grey orbs, and shakes her head in almost disbelief.  “You live here? I am highly disappointed that we haven’t been here already...” She joked before hearing a cough behind her causing her to immediately turn on her heels and caught a glimpse of a man walking down the stairs.
