There had been no sign of Grayson for weeks, everyone had been searching for him, but it all came to dead ends every time and Grace was a state as well as Ant. He had lost the bond between the both of them since Grayson's transformation and that had hit him hard, causing him to turn to alcohol and not speak to anyone apart from Laura. Ever since the day that Ant had turned Grayson in 1598, they had shared a bond that was stronger than family, a bond that could feel when the other was hurt or injured, or even in trouble. Yet a couple of weeks ago, those feeling had left completely, making Ant feel empty inside, it was a strange feeling that few had experienced. In usual cases it was due to death, which made Ant worry more yet he was mostly putting it down to the scratch that Grayson had accidentally received from Grace.
Grace on the other hand was unable to sleep for longer than she could remember and for some reason, she was unable to get in touch with her father since the night that she had been locked in the basement, yet luckily Laura had been able to cast a spell, making it possible for her to at least have one rested night's sleep. After a few weeks Grace had somehow regained control of her wolf self, it was hard to get grips with, but she was finally able to control the transformations and the anger issues that would sometimes want to appear from nowhere.
Grace slowly started to rouse from the spell-made slumber, something that she was more than grateful for, and she would have to owe Laura, she didn't even wake up or move once through the night. Her eyes were still shut as her whole body stretched, yet she went ridged when something felt different, a familiar pair of arms were wrapped around her smaller frame, Had it just all been some crazy dream, she had a habit of thinking the dream route due to her past yet that was all in the past. Her eyes slowly flicker open, hoping that it was going to be real, and Grayson would be there with her, her eyes instantly land on the black nest of a bedhead, and her heart starts to pound hard in her chest as she kneels on the bed, turning his body over just to make sure it was him. "Grayson...." She whispered with hands resting on his shoulders, making them face to face and suddenly she is met with the mesmerising grey orbs that she fell in love with all those years ago. "It...it's you..." She whispered once again, half afraid to talk too loud just in case he vanished into thin air again, yet she thought that it was a good sign that he was in bed with her. Did he forgive her for her actions of hurting him? Did he already transform and had he been all alone while doing so? All kinds of questions came into her head that she wanted to ask, but she wanted to give him time to explain himself at least. "I'm...I'm so sorry for what happened that night, you know that I would never hurt you intentionally." Her fingers moved into his hair, she wasn't angry in the slightest, she understood why he had left because she wanted to leave before and it was more than understandable in her mind, but he was back and that was all that mattered.
Grayson was more than surprised, this wasn't the welcome he was expecting, he was expecting to be woken up straight into an argument, yet he knew that Grace didn't know what happened while he was away, otherwise it wouldn't have been so peaceful. He looked up into her green eyes, a blank expression laid dormant on his features, he didn't feel as if he deserved her at all, but he didn't want to admit what had happened, especially the parts with Zara. His hand reached up to caress her cheek, head tilting to the side as he listened to her words, and the guilt panged inside his stomach once again, she didn't need to apologize for anything and wanted to make that more than clear. He shakes his head in a light motion before moving into a sitting position on the bed, hands moving down onto her hips to keep her close. "You have done nothing wrong; it would have happened sooner or later anyway." His eyes were filled with concern as he spoke, he wanted her to get rid of the guilt that she held, she didn't deserve that at all. "And now we don't worry about hurting each other, we are the same." He feigned a smile while pulling her onto his lap, wanting and needing to keep her close, realising what he was missing out on, he should have never left her. "Don't forget that I changed you once before many years ago..." He added with a hint of a smile pulling on the corners of his lips, reminiscing of the time that he changed her into a vampire all of those years ago.
