A/N: So no one commented on what I should do with the story from here, so I am just going to try and keep on writing.

I look past Hailey and onto the street. This could be our chance to escape. But we don't know how far we are from our family. We might not make it. I look at her, fear in my eyes. But she gives me strength. She has a steadfast determination that is contagious. I lock eyes with her, nodding my head.

"Let's try this, Hay. If anything we just get caught again. But we could make it home. We have to try." She nods, smiling and jumping around giddily. I walk over to her and grab her hand. We start walking, not knowing where we are going. All around us are just a lot of old looking warehouses. We try to figure out where we are. Suddenly Hailey screams out in pain and falls to the ground. I crouch down beside her, worry all over my face. She is holding her head in her hands and is crying. I make her look at me.

"It hurts. So bad. Is my head bleeding?" I lean her head down gently and look at her. She has a huge cut on her head that is still bleeding. I lean her head back, knowing I am going to have to tell her the truth.

"There is a really big cut on your head. And it's still bleeding. We can stop the bleeding though. Let's go and find something to use." She nods, standing up. I put her arm over my shoulder and let her put her weight on me. We walk into one of the warehouses. I see a cloth on a counter and walk over to it. It looks relatively clean. And we don't have anything else to use. I sit her down on a bench and grab the cloth.

"Now Hay, this is gonna hurt. And I'm sorry. But I need to do it. Please just try not to scream, ok?" She nods, clamping her mouth shut. I put the cloth on her head and she winces in pain. I push down and she yelps then covers her mouth quickly. Tears start blurring my vision but I continue applying pressure. We stay like this for a couple of minutes. I pull back the cloth and see that the bleeding has stopped. I crouch down in front of her. She has tear stains all over her face. I pull her into a hug and let her cry into my shoulder. We suddenly hear a creak and I turn around, putting myself in between Hailey and whatever is over there. I don't see anyone but I can hear footsteps. I quickly grab Hailey's hand and I pull her farther into the warehouse. I am looking around for somewhere to hide. Suddenly I feel someone put their hand over my mouth and pull me to the side. I gasp in shock but I stay quiet. I see that it is Hailey. She has pulled me into a dark corner and is signaling me to be quiet. We crouch down and huddle together, praying that whoever is there doesn't see us. We see someone in a black ski mask walk by. He has a gun hanging by his side. Hailey gasps and I put my hand over her mouth, making her be quiet. The guy stops for a second but then continues going. We hear a door open and close and I quickly pull Hailey to her feet. We quickly run back the way we came, looking for the door. I find it and pull Hailey through it. We start running down the street. I pull her into an alley and we stop. We are both panting and we are both exhausted. I sit down against the wall, trying to catch my breath. Hailey sits down beside me. After a couple of minutes we are both breathing normally again. I look over at her, trying to keep myself from crying. My stomach growls and I put my hand over my stomach. Hailey's stomach also growls and she puts her hand on her stomach too. I look over at her and start giggling. She starts giggling too and we both start laughing. She looks over at me and we both start crying. We wrap our arms around each other, both of us shaking with sobs. After a couple of minutes we calm down and pull away from each other.

"What are we gonna do Nica? How are we gonna get out of here?" I look over at her, putting my hand over hers.

"I don't know. But we will. First off we need to try and find the police. Or we need to find something to eat. Whatever comes first." She nods and we stand up. We walk out of the alley and grab hands. We walk a little ways away until we come into a part of the town that is actually filled with shops and things like that. We see people walking around and we squeeze each other's hands. I see a mother with a couple of kids with her and I decide that she is our best bet. I walk over to her and Hailey starts crying.

"Excuse me ma'am? Could you please tell us where the police station is?" She looks over us and gasps. I look down at myself and I see how gross I look. I am covered in dirt and bruises and cuts. And I'm sure that we look absolutely exhausted. She pulls us to her and hugs us. We both start crying and we hug her back. She pulls back, tears glistening in her eyes.

"What happened to you two?" I force myself to calm down and look back at her.

"We were kidnapped. We need to go back home. Can you please bring us to the police?" She nods, pulling out her phone and dialing 911. She starts talking to them then she hangs up.

"They said that they are on their way. They told me that we needed to lay low for a little bit. So why don't we grab something to eat at the cafe over there? You two look starving." Our stomachs grumble at the same time and she smiles sweetly. We walk over to the cafe and she sits down. All of her kids sit down beside her and look over at us, scared. She pulls out her phone and calls someone. After a couple of seconds she starts talking to whoever is on the other end and we realize that it's her husband. She is telling him to come and pick up the kids. They quickly hang up and she looks over at us.

"What do you two want to eat? I will go inside and order it for you." Hailey and I look over at each other and grab hands.

"We don't really mind what you get us. Just something to eat. Please." She nods and stands up. She leaves us with her kids. We settle down comfortably when someone puts their hand on my shoulder. I turn around and see that it is Uncle Joey. He has a gun on him. I gasp, causing Hailey to turn around. She gasps also, tears rolling down her face. He leans down to us, whispering in our ear.

"If you two try anything, I am going to kill those kids there with you, then I am going to kill you. Understand?" We nod slowly and stand up. He puts his hands on our shoulders and starts to walk away. We hear the nice lady from before calling for us. I turn around and start mouthing the word "Help". She quickly starts running over, yelling at Uncle Joey. He turns, shock in his face. He quickly recovers and looks at her.

"Hello miss. How can I help you?" He tightens his grip on our shoulders and I whimper, putting my hand over his. He ignores me and keeps his attention on her. She looks over at me and Hailey and puts on her bravest face.

"I was just with these two little girls. They were kidnapped. And they are gonna stay with me. The police are already on their way." He looks down at us, angry.

"Now what did I tell you two would happen if you ran away?" He lets go of Hailey's shoulder to reach for his gun. I turn to her, tears in my eyes.

"Run Hailey! Go! Get out of here!" She quickly starts running away. By now there are a ton of people watching us in the street. Uncle Joey puts me into a choke hold and puts the gun to my head. He yells for Hailey and she turns around in shock. She stops and just stands there. He presses the gun into my head and I cry out, whimpering in pain. The lady in front of us is standing there in fear. He turns to her, smiling.

"If I were you, I'd go back to your kids before things get ugly." She tries to look brave but turns back to her kids. They are crying. She turns back to me, looking me in the eyes. She starts walking towards Hailey. She wraps her arms around her protectively.

"I'm ok. I am willing to sacrifice my life to help these two little girls get away from you." He growls, turning me towards him.

"You are gonna be in serious trouble when we get home." I whimper, trying to pull away from him. Suddenly police sirens start sounding. He quickly picks me up and starts running away. I start fighting him, trying to get him to put me down. The police are yelling behind us and I hear Hailey screaming but I can't get away. I start crying, banging on his back.

"Please Uncle Joey! Let me go! Let me go!" He slaps me, still running. We get to a car and he gets inside. He throws me into the passenger seat and starts the car. We quickly start driving, speeding down the street. I hear gunshots and I duck my head, screaming. We quickly get away from them and he turns to me, furious.

"Now that I only have you, things are going to be awful for you. You should have just stayed." I whimper and pull my knees up to my chest. I put my head on my knees as we continue driving. I think about Hailey, trying to feel joy in the fact that she got away.
