this is sort of the introduction chapter for (y/n). so i guess chapter 2 is where everything begins:) important disclaimer: this is a yandere book meaning it's dark, you've been warned.
first book, i hope you guys enjoy<3 ok i'll shut up now lol.
derry,1989
you loved riding your bike, feeling the breeze on your face. nothing could get better. you lived in derry your whole life, but struggled making friends. not because you were weird, but because of you were shy, very shy.
you'd rather sit by a tree and read. "(y/n)! your mother called, snapping you back to reality. tomorrow would be your final day of school before summer. of course, you were excited. however, everyone was worried.
more kids were missing. nobody knew why so many people, mostly kids, vanished. so due to that, (m/n) was very cautious and protective. "coming, mom! you called back. your mom was very specific on time.
you had your own curfew due to her being so protective. but you didn't mind. you didn't want to go missing. you rush inside, your younger sister grace at the table. your father was busy working. he worked night shifts sometimes. tonight must've been one of those nights.
you loved your family, dearly, but you wished your father was around more. "sissy! grace smiled, she was barely five years old. "look, i drew this for you!" she grinned. you smile, her drawing of you was so adorable.
"i love it, grace! you exclaim. your mother smiled. you wished you had older siblings, but you loved grace so much, you would protect her from the world if you could. you'd make sure nobody would hurt her.
grace giggled, which you loved. her giggles were so cute. before she was born, you would've been annoyed by the thought of having siblings, but now? you wished you had more. you heard noises from the window, noticing it had begun raining.
"mom, why did i have to come in besides rain? dinner isn't even ready? you whine. she sighs. "i'm sorry, honey, but with kids vanishing so much, i'd rather you be inside and safe." you nodded. you were excited for summer. even your mom being so worried didn't bother you as much.
grace rambled on like usual. being five, had her own fixations, like you, sometimes. life didn't seem so interesting. "was school good, honey? your mom asked. you shrug. "school is school, mom, which equals boring. so i guess school is boring."
she chuckles. "grace, did you like kindergarten today?" grace nodded, explaining on how her day went. her life seemed so much more interesting. sure, in school girls gossiped about you sometimes, but you wished something interesting would happen in your life.
but you did like how ordinary things were. how amazing your mom and dad were. so the things like family were good enough for you, but things like drama never happened. you wished some drama came in your life or something.
or you became rich.
you go in your room, closing your door. you sigh, closing your eyes. rain calmed you down. you loved rain. you were zoned out by daydreaming of anything. you jumped when someone knocked on your door.
"(y/n), dinner! your mom said. that was quick, you thought. she must've been making dinner while i was downstairs. you go downstairs, smelling something good for dinner. you sit beside grace, like usual.
"i wish daddy could have dinner with us, grace pouted. you sigh. "me too, gracie. me too." you weren't lying, you did wish your dad could have dinner with you and your mom and sister. your mom frowned, but sat down.
you began eating, while reminding grace to chew with her mouth closed. it was a bad habit of hers. you hoped kindergarten would teach grace more manners.
you discussed your day with your mom, before (d/n) took on night shifts and got promoted, he'd be here at dinner, listening to you and grace.
of course you see your father sometimes, but focused on work too much. even (m/n) could agree with you and normally your mom didn't agree with you on many things. you weren't like her, you were different from her. despite that, you and (m/n) were very close. you didn't know much about your father since you never got to bond.
you noticed that (m/n) missed your father just as much as you. but most of all, grace needed a father figure. unfortunately she didn't have that father figure in your life. but hey, at least he was around, sometimes.
your mother raised you more than he did. he just came back here for sleep and coffee early in the morning. did he even love you or your sister, or mother? you wondered that everyday since he stopped being involved, which is when you were eight, when he got promoted.
you don't remember much, but once he was promoted, you barely saw him. now you were fine, you had your sister and mom, who loved you very much, and the feeling was mutual. once dinner finished, you cleaned dishes, and dinner, before going in your room again.
eventually though, grace came in begging for you. "please, sissy! can you play with me? she begged. you smiled. "fine, what are we playing today?"
she held up 2 dolls, with a toothy grin. "dollies!" you chuckle, she reminded you of yourself when you were younger but of course was different from you in many ways. she was extroverted, and pretty much a social butterfly. she probably had many friends in kindergarten. "okay! come on! you laughed.
______________________________________________________
you probably played dollies for too long, you hoped you would fall asleep in class tomorrow, either way you didn't have any work for tomorrow, either. you never did work on the final days before summer. so you didn't worry very much.
grace smiled, being in her bed, yawning. "goodnight, sissy. you're the best big sister ever." "and you're the best little sister ever, you grinned, watching her close her eyes, kissing her forehead then closing her door.
you loved her very much. you would protect her from the world. you'd do anything for grace. anything.
