year, yet he felt new feelings grow for the other boys, feelings he didn't understand, yet he felt like he did. It was messing with him to a point where thinking about Justin, Clay didn't know who he saw him as anymore.

''You didn't know what situation he was in, kid, sometimes things happen, and we don't always have a way to prevent them,'' Mr Jensen told him.

''I know that, dad, I just... I don't know how to help him now, it's too late, and I just can't help but feel guilty,'' Clay explained. It was too late for anything now. He was going to die. Justin was going to die. They were going down together.

''It's better if you talk to him, Clay,'' Mr Jensen told him, hand on his son's shoulder.

Clay nodded as he sighed.

''You know what, I'll talk to mom about it, okay?'' Mr Jensen told Clay, who was about to leave the kitchen and towards the staircase up to his room. ''Go talk to Justin, maybe, if me and your mom figure something out, he can stay here for the time being. What do you think?''

''Uh,'' Clay stopped for a second. ''I'll have to talk to Justin first, if I can find him...''

Leaving the room, Clay pulled his phone out of his pocket, hoping to find a message on his screen that could show Justin was still alive. He had to be. Clay didn't want someone dying so soon, he hated the idea. After Hannah, After Jeff; someone else's life coming to an end was something Clay didn't want to go through.

There was a message.

Clay frowned as he clicked on it.

It was from Jessica.

Why didn't you tell me Justin was back in town?
