Last chapter: FREE FALL

I gave my heart completely to this story and never imagined that all of this would be possible. I didn't picture myself writing the last line, but here we are and it is beautiful.

I open my eyes.

"We have to get out!" Simon shouts.

"Let's not get separated! The exit will be chaos!" Esther grabs her girlfriend's hand.

Simon takes mine and leads me to stand in front of them, who, in turn, turn on their cell phone flashlights.

"We either wait for most of them to leave or we leave right now before it gets worse," Mia mentions. I stare at her hands and then look at mine and Simon's, smiling.

"Let's get out now," says the boy holding my hand. We all agree and form a column as we walk into the crowd. I'm behind Simon and behind me, Esther, followed by Mia and she in turn by Pamela.

I'm about to stumble because of my blurred vision but Esther manages to hold me from behind. We keep walking until we finally make out the outside lighting.

A breath of fresh air greets us once outside, but neither that, nor the fact that it is already fully illuminating the place, prevents me from stumbling and falling.

"He's drunk," says Mía bending down to me and handing me her hand to stand up. I take it and with Pamela's help, I stand up. With difficulty I pick up my cell phone and dial Tåtu, the driver.

"Shhhh," I indicate to the others, asking for silence. "Hi Tåtu, we're out. Can you come over?"

"Good evening, your highness. Send me the location. I'll be there as soon as possible. Who are you with?" He have noticed my condition.

"With Simon..." I mention while sending the location. "Can he accompany you in the car?"

"Yes, I'll go with him," Simon replies. He holds my hand even tighter.

"If you come," I lean closer to his ear, "you have to sleep in my place" Simon looks at me confused.

"Wille, you're in bad shape"

"I just called my driver too," I hear Mia say to Pamela as they sit on the sidewalk. He'll drop you off at your house.

"The one who will be sick will be you, if you go back home in the early morning... what do you think Linda will think?" I shake my head, "No, you're staying with me tonight, so I can look after you".

Simon laughs softly and nods.

"Whatever you say". He leads me by the spleen to the sidewalk and we sit down. I rest my head on his shoulder. "But I'll take care of you, too, today".

The car takes about half an hour to get there, since the palace is at the other end of town. Tåtu gets out immediately he arrives and helps me into the car. After that, I fall asleep on Simon's lap.

I let Wille sleep on top of me all the way home. It's better this way, because when we get there, he'll feel better. And hopefully, he'll forget what happened back there.

During the drive I try to forget that, but I can't and it makes me feel bad. As I watch him sleep, I allow myself to cry silently. I don't know what I should feel, or if what I feel is right.

"We're almost there," Tåtu mentions, intercepting my thoughts.

"Wille," I move him gently as the car parks, "we're home".
