Ace's POV

I smile as I sit with Sheila who just did a work out my trainer and I which went well with her first time doing a good starter workout with a professional

"You did amazing today..both at work and in the gym" I say as we eat our dinner in my dining room

"Thank you...but are my legs supposed to be this sore already" Shelia asks and I laugh a bit

"No pain no gain, you'll get used to it...after a while it feels weirdly good" I say with a small laugh a dig into my food

We sit in silence after a while and I notice Sheila shift in her seat and I straighten up

"What's on your mind lia" I say causing Sheila to smile at her old nickname

"Listen.....I...I need to move out....I just don't wanna come in and fall to quickly for you especially since I'm very vulnerable right now and I just got to the point where I can say Mike's name without crying....you've been my best friend and I don't wanna to put you in a tough and hurtful spot" Sheila says and I put my fork down with a sigh

"Maybe I'm doing the same....I've watched you be torn down by that man for years and was told time and time again to let you learn but even then I told you that you deserve better.....I see you now after and I see you take your power back everyday after he tries to destroy you" I say and Sheila shakes her head

"I didn't even do anything...I just signed the papers I didn't even fight" She responds and I smile a little at her

"Sometimes signing the papers is all the fighting you need to do....it shows him that you still have some power that he wasn't able to suck out of you.....shows he doesn't have control or say anymore...and that will haunt him" I say as I watch Sheila look down at her plate

"Don't play with me Ace....you know he was right sometimes" She says and I frown my eyebrows at her and try not to get upset by her words

"I'm not playin with you and you know that....Sheila you are an amazing woman, strong, sexy, so intelligent and you have gotten so used to not hearing that be said to you.....I never play about you or with you and I ain't gon start now" I say and Sheila looks down as a blush comes up on her face

"Not as big as I am" She says and shake my head and grab her hand softly and rub her knuckles with my thumb

"You know...if you're not happy about how you look then you can change it but it's always up to what you want...not anyone else...I love you the way you are and that hasn't changed and won't...but if you don't like it then change it" I say truthfully

"How are you attracted to me when you have been with many women...all smaller than me...what about me has made you stay this long" Sheila says sadly

"I have been with many women around me with different thing about them physically and internally....but my love for you never left...I lived my life because my love for you while strong and never wavering....wasn't gonna stop me from exploring but in the back of my head I always thought of you with every woman I dated which is why I left" I say as Sheila stares at me

"But why me" She says

"Because you are the only woman I ever saw myself truly loving......having the relationship we have and the connection...makes me understand you at every corner so it's not about the physical with me...but trust me I love everything I see in front of me...plus I haven't been with only thin women" I say causing Sheila to smile

"Stop downing yourself...it's not ok and Im uncomfortable for you when you do it" I say causing her to look at me pleadingly

"Im sorry.....I'm sorry used to Mike saying things...I try to beat him to it so it hurts less" Sheila says and I look from Sheila's eyes to her lips then back
