Ace's POV
I laugh with Sheila as we make our way out of the bathrooms, I look over and see Mike standing by the elevator causing me to sigh as he look over to us shocked
"Ace....Sheila..wow uh hey" Mike says and I look to Sheila who looks down awkwardly before holding her head up high and I smile at her proudly
"Hello Mike" Sheila says as she adjust her dress some more before grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers, I see Mike look down at our hands and let out a big breath
"Which way should we go baby" I say as Sheila looks around the corner
"This way...she should be somewhere around here" She says and I nod before walking with her to where she's directing us
We walk down some hallways before hearing Angela's voice causing me to laugh
"Found them" I say as Sheila laughs too, we open the door and see the girls all by the mirror helping Pat with her hair
"Divvvaass" Sheila says causing the girl to look at us as we come in
"Oh my god..you remembered" Patrica says excitedly as she hugs Sheila tightly, I smile to Diane and Angela who hug me and I hug them back
"How could I forget" Sheila says as she goes and hugs Angel and Diane
"What happened...oh my gosh look at you..where did you get this dress" They all start asking collectively
"We were worried about you, you know" Diane says and I smile and pull Sheila into me and hug her from behind
"What's this glow I see happening here, I haven't seen that in a long time....Ace...what's goin on" Patrica says as she looks us over
"I'd like to think I had a little something to do with that" I say as I kiss Sheila's shoulder and cheek, I look to the girls and they look at us shocked and excited
"What's going on here....I haven't heard from you guys in a minute" Diane says skeptically
"Yea Ace been so busy, she ain't call nobody" Angela says and I laugh and look to Sheila
"Well baby...should I tell them or..you" I say as I hold onto her waist and I can see she's smiling hard
"I stayed with Ace....I have a great job...we're married now" Sheila says as she raises her hand and shows the wedding ring I gave her and I smile proudly as the girls freak out and I raise up my hand and show them mine
"Congratulations...oh my gosh I'm so happy to see you two finally together" Patrica says
"Thank you and...so am I" Shelia says and I kiss her cheek
"Alright Ace we love you but you gotta leave so we can speak to Sheila....we love you but leave" Angela says and I laugh before kissing Sheila and leaving to the bars
I head down and see Terry along with Gavin and Mike talking to the side, I grab a drink and take a sip before walking over
"Hey Ace...look we're good right I mean the bar and everything, we all made up with our wives..everything good" Terry asks and I sigh
"Just treat them right" I say coldly and they nod, I look to Mike who is glaring at me hard
"So....your with Sheila now....why ain't you tell me at the bar man" He says as he laugh a little and drinks his champagne
"Because she ain't want me too.....and I didn't either but you was gon find out anyway" I say coldly and the guys look around awkwardly
"Oh ok...well how is she doing" Gavin asks and I nod
"She's good...great even I mean....I'm happy to be married to her" I say and they guys nod
"Well congratulations man...yea congrats...yea I mean she married my ex" The guys said collectively and as we toast, I sip my drink and look around for Troy and Thomas to get out of this situation
"Can't believe you married my ex" Mike says and I smirk
"One man's ex can be another person treasure" I say bluntly as Mike looks away and down at his drink
"So uh...she had that gastric bypass" Mike asks and I see the guys look down but don't correct him causing me to look at Mike and smile
"No actually...she and I just worked out together...something you never considered if it was such a big deal to you....I'll see you though" I say before walking away and heading them try and call me back
Sheila's POV
"I thought...I prayed, that god would save my marriage and the feelings for Ace would go away but it wasn't built on the right things anyway..I thought if Mike got right..you know..if I lost the weight, kept distance from Ace...that everything would be ok" I start as the girls look at me sadly but supportively as I feel myself about to cry
"It's been hard...it's been hard but it's me..I did it..I'm doing it and it feels so good..it feels so good... I thought that God had given up on me...because here I am in this marriage and it don't work..he don't love me, he don't like me" I say in between tears as Diane hands me a tissue
"But he opened my eyes to someone who I had all along...she is an amazing woman, she is supportive, she doesn't criticize me, she walks with me and she loves me through all of it...and always has...I just had to see it and god knew that" I say as I think of Ace
"I didn't have that before and I do now...I wake up with so much joy in my heart" I say as I laugh and smile with the girls and they do the same with me as they wipe their tears
The girls smile and say supportive things as we all laugh as adjust our make up
I smile as I look in the mirror and I feel pride in myself for once, I'm not looking at myself ashamed or disgusted
But happily and proudly
A/n ok now let me say this, y'all don't need anyone to make you feel that way, just so happens that in this story and the movie that Sheila found someone to help her through the work she had to do, just wanted to clear that up lol
