Ace's POV
I walk with Sheila to our seats and pull out her chair when suddenly I look over and see Mike's name on the card next to Sheila and I immediately stop Sheila from sitting down
"Hey....he's seated next to you, I'll take your seat" I say and Sheila smiles at me
"Baby it'll be fine, plus if I can't sit next to him and be fine then I'm not as healed as I feel I am" Sheila says and I sighs as I look at her
"Your right but are you comfortable sitting next to him" I say and Sheila pulls me into a kiss before smiling at me lovingly
"I'll be fine baby...and your still next to me so I'll be ok as long as your here" She says and I nod and smile but it falls when I see Trina and Mike walking over to us and sitting in their seats awkwardly
Sheila sits down and I push her chair in before sitting down next to her ad I watch Mike closely, Sheila grabs my face and pecks my lips before turning my head towards Patricia who's now on stage
I sigh and Sheila laughs before taking my hand as Patricia starts talking at the podium about
"First of all I'd like to thank everyone for such a lovely..lovely evening, I feel proud to be the first black woman to receive this award...I'm very blessed to won an honor for a book that has given me such information and gratification and vacations" Patricia says when suddenly I hear Mike talk to Sheila
"You know we didn't get a chance to talk" Mike says and I feel Sheila squeeze my hand and I squeeze it back
"On purpose" Sheila says with some attitude and I smirk, that's my girl...tell his ass baby
"Come on Shelia, don't be like that" Mike says sadly
"What do you want Mike I'm trying to listen to Patrica" Sheila replies and I rub her hand with my thumb in comfort
"I'm sorry about how all this went down...ok?, I don't...I don't want you to be mad at me ...forgiveness you know..I want you to forgive me, isn't that what the good book says" Mike says and I hold in my laugh as Shelia squeezes my hand telling me to stop
This nigga funny
"Yes...I forgave you a long time ago because if I had stayed angry, I would have taken it out on Ace and she is too good for that...you understand" Shelia says and I smile, she must want her pus- let me stop
"Yea...she's too good for that...hey I was your first....you never forget your first right" Mike says and I laugh a little and Sheila squeeze my hand hard as hell
Who gon tell him
"You did think you were my first, didn't you" Sheila says and I let out a shaky breath as I try to hold in my laugh, he really think her and I weren't that close before he came into the picture
....a hahahaha
"Look I just wanted to say I'm sorry...you know there's this thing called the 20/80 rule" Mike goes to explain but Sheila stops him
"Mike..I know all about the 80/20 rule..look I thank you for helping me find myself then but the woman I am now...is done with you so turn around and go back to Trina....your 20" Shelia says and I smile proudly
That's my wife
I smile as Patrica closes her speech and we all stand up, I smile and kiss Sheila before going over to Patrica and hugging her tightly
The music starts playing and I pull Sheila in for a dance, I smile down at her proudly as she and I groove to the music
"I'm so proud of you baby....I can't help but feel pride to be your wife" I say as I spin Sheila then pull her close
"Thank you baby...I'm proud of myself and you....I love you Ace" Sheila says softly and I smile
"I love you too Sheila...I'm happy that we are married" I say with a wide smile
"I'm happy I married you too" She says and I lean down and kiss her passionately, Sheila cups my face and deepens the kiss
"I can't wait till we get home" Sheila says in a certain tone
"Yea...you wanna watch the movie that you...uhhhh moonlight or something..I know you want to watch that before" I say cluelessly causing Sheila to laugh
"Well we can watch that..after we spend some time in the bedroom" Sheila says and I smile as I finally catch on
"Ohhhh....I'm down for that too" I say before dipping Sheila causing her to laugh
I smile and pull her back up and we keep dancing
Throughout the night I watch Sheila and I can't help but feel proud and I see Patrica looking at me with a knowing smile and I nod and look to my wife
She's gorgeous, intelligent, sexy, strong, beautiful person inside and loves me unconditionally
This is why I got married
