Come Over

When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness, one that erupts just like an earthquake and sets all it touches to flame that eventually fades.

And when those feelings fade it is up to you and your lover to decide how deeply entangled you want your roots to be intertwined.

Because, after all. Love is not breathlessness, nor excitement, nigh is it the desire to make sweet love to one another every second of the day. (Although it helps). That is just a mere shadow of what being in love feels like. Anyone can convince you of that.

Love itself is what is left over, after the embers of being in love as well as the feeling of it has burned away. Love is being there to pick up the pieces.

As Maes had done for Toshi and was presently scooping him up to take them to their room.

Their room.

Hearts skip several beats at that one singular thought. That the two of them would be waking up every day from this moment forward looking into each other's eyes.

The image of that alone gave them goosebumps. Maes was on his back with a hand supporting the back of his held while the other was around Shinso's waist who has been lying on his side with his head on Maes chest, his hand resting comfortably just above Maes' ribs.

Snuggling.

That was what Toshi asked for. "To make up for lost time." He has said. "We never really did this enough."

Maes thought about all the previous times they shared together and realized that no, they had not. It had just been a continuous number of sexual pleasures all rolled into one.

"What's so funny?" Shinso asked after Maes had chuckled.

"This. It's not funny really but I spent many nights in this bed falling asleep to the sound of the crickets. Occasionally I'd wake up with nightmares of my past or hearing my little girl cry. I missed them to pieces but the thought that got me most of all was leaving you behind. I'll admit that once you came back into my life I'd lay awake at night in frustration because I was so gosh darn lonely. Right now-" The hand that held Shinso's shoulder went up to brush into his soft locks of hair. "Having you here beside me in my arms, wearing the ring I gave you. I realize the emptiness from before has been filled with joy." He took his other hand and slid it into Shinso's. Their matching wedding bands fit snugly next to one another. "Nothing makes me happier. With you I am complete."

"That's such a lie and you know it." Shinso said. Maes knew from his tone that he wasn't angry. "You have me, yes. But I know there are other things, other people you want."

"You got me. However, I do mean it Toshi. We don't need anyone else right now. Let sleeping dogs lie, I'm sure we'll find the right ones eventually."

Maes thought about something.

"Shoji sends his middle finger in response to our engagement. I got a text from Midoriya the other day."

"What did it say?"

"He misses me. And he sent me a picture of himself wearing the maid outfit."

"You going to meet up with him?"

"Yeah. I just wanted to give you a heads up. I'm not interested in keeping secrets from my loved ones this time around."

"Uraraka says that things between her and Tamaki fizzled out."

"He texted me asking when I was going to see him again. Same with Kirishima."

"Did you tell him that Shoji is no longer in the picture?" Shinso asked after Maes told him why Kirishima had said yes to him now instead of back then.

"Ah, you know what no, that completely slipped my mind." Maes said.

"You should."

"I'd rather not."

"How come?"

"If I did, there's a good chance that he'd want to come over. And considering how you reacted to his love notes on my flesh I…your happiness comes first Toshi. After seeing you in shambles I'd like to keep what riled it up far far away."

"Marriage is a partnership right? We do things together, sometimes things one of us may not want to do but you know what? What's the point in living if you always stay inside the box." Maes glanced down in wonder. He had thought those same things once upon a time.

"Besides, I never got to experience what you did, with either one of them. You were so happy with them Maes, I want both of us to be happy. Not just me. Go call them."

"Hold on." Maes practically sat up in bed in disbelief. "Are you sure about this Toshi?" Shinso could see that look and knew what it meant. He was dangling a bone for him to chew but he was too scared to take the bait for fear it would be a mirage.

"I am being completely serious." He said, putting a hand over Maes' shoulder. "I will not take it back Maes, I promise you that."

"Toshi." He whispered taking a gentle hold on Shinso's face and gently caressing their lips together. A small beaded tear sliding down his face. "Thank you."

"Thank me later, now go call them. But, they are not invited to the honeymoon, got it?" He said, causing Maes to laugh.

"Yeah I got it." Maes smiled as he caressed Shinso's face. "It's all taken care of, don't you worry." Maes smirked. "Just you, me and the quiet of the night that will be broken by the sound of our screams." Shinso's eyes widened. Maes took hold of his lips again, spooning him as they lay back down on the bed. The hand that lay against Shinso's hip slid upwards during the kiss, fingers grazing the v line, past the naval, under the shirt where he heard Shinso utter a low moan along the way, up towards his chest, teasing his nipples and gliding up to his neck where he broke off the kiss. "I'll call them later, but not tonight. I'd rather spend the rest of it here in your arms." He resumed the kiss, letting his fingers slide down to rest against Shinso's stomach. Purple eyes sought for his hazel green orbs. "Unless you'd rather have a gangbang tonight?" Maes asked, rolling on top of him. "Get sliced up." He kissed Shinso behind the ear. " See what all the fuss is about."

Shinso gazed back at Maes torn between wanting him all to himself or having three people seduce and sex him up. He thought about it.

It was a hard decision.

But he decided to go with his gut.

"Ask if they want to come over."
