Saying that Lucy was worried about Tamara was an understatement. The younger brunette had been all jumpy and distant the last couple of days with her and her friends and if being honest, Lucy thought it was just Tamara being a teenager but then days turned into weeks and weeks into almost a month without any improvement and she really wasn't liking the treatment, it felt kind of personal as if she had done something wrong.

Something in the cop was telling her something was wrong and Tamara wasn't telling her, Tim had noticed too and Nyla and Angela who Tamara adored had tried to make the brunette speak with no success.

All of them had noticed how tired, exhausted, actually Tamara looked and there were so many times Lucy had been awaken in the middle of the night due to the teenager's nightmares and no matter how many times she tried to speak with Tamara it never worked.

But it had finally been enough. The situation was starting to affect Tamara's health and Lucy wasn't going to let it go that far. So the older brunette decided that if Tamara wasn't going to tell her willingly, she would force her. Lucy didn't love the idea she hated it, actually, but she wasn't just going to sit and see her friend deteriorating before her eyes.

So you can imagine the shock when Tamara told her they needed to talk. In the time they had known each other, Lucy had never seen the teenager so nervous and anxious.

It was even more surprising when Tamara told her she wanted to get emancipated even if she didn't even explain the reason why.

A part of Lucy felt at least a little hurt, she thought she had been doing a good job taking care and making Tamara feel at home, making her feel safe; What had she done so wrong to push Tamara to want to live with her any longer?

Lucy truly enjoyed Tamara's company.

"Aren't you mad? That I didn't tell you sooner I mean." Tamara asked her when the offcer stayed in silence. Lucy was trying to process all of the new information, trying to understand why Tamara didn't tell her anything earlier. Maybe she was embarrased even if Lucy couldn't bring herself to comprehend the reason why.

Lucy shook her head.

"No, I'm not. Just a little confused. Though I would have appreciated if you had told me all of these before." She replied after some minutes and looked directly to Tamara.

The teenager sighed in relief.

"I know, I'm sorry. But will you help me?" Tamara murmured with a pleading tone. "I know it is too much to ask but I need this" the younger brunette almost begged.

Lucy did want to ask Tamara the reason of why she didn't want to stay with her 'till she turned eighteen but felt it wasn't her place to ask.

"I- yes... It might take some time but I'll look into it. Maybe Angela can help you know? She has more resources than I do." Lucy offered with a soft smile to then be attacked by Tamara hugging her and murmuring into her neck soft thank you, thank you, thank you.

Lucy quickly relaxed and hugged back and let go of the teen after patting her back.

"Don't worry Tam. I'll talk to Tim and see if he can convince Lopez to help us." She said while she walked to the kitchen to start making dinner. The last think Lucy heard was Tamara yelling out a quick "Thank you!" And then her door closing shoot.

Now alone Lucy couldn't help but think of her own little girl. Thinking if her kid was happy with her adoptive family or what did she like to do or if she looked like her or even if she knew that she was adopted and if she did; if Lizzie ever thought about looking for her birth parents.

Lucy had so many questions.

A part of her did want to search for her baby's daddy and tell him he has a daughter. If Tamara has the courage to try and search for her birth parents; why not Lucy? Try to get some sort of closure. It wasn't a lie that she had tried to reach Elizabeth once or twice in her life and, yes, she shouldn't had to but couldn't resist.
