Malia's Pov
While I felt bad after my talk with Elena, I also felt a little relieved.
Not only because I finally realized my feelings, but because even after rejecting her, we can still remain friends.
I'm glad. I'm really, really, glad.
Elena is an amazing person and even though the feelings she felt for me couldn't be returned, I'm happy we can at least remain friends.
I hope one day she'll be able to move on and find a girl that'll feel the same way.
Now, it's time for me to find Wyatt and tell him everything.
And hopefully...we can start over.
After I left the nurses office I made my way outside of the school and began walking.
However, I stopped dead in my tracks when I spotted Wyatt.
He was leaning against the wall, his arms crossed, his eyes were closed as his chest moved up and down.
I pressed my lips into a thin line, clearly hesitant to walk to him, before shaking my head.
I came out here for a reason. I was looking for him for a reason.
I can't back down now.
I walked towards him, stopping so that I stood a few feet in front of him.
"Wyatt" I softly called out to him.
Wyatt's eyes snapped open and when he looked at me his eyes widened in surprise.
"Malia" Wyatt managed to say.
My heart fluttered but I did my best to calm myself down.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be resting?" Wyatt asked in worry.
"I only passed out, I didn't bang my head against the wall" I snorted in slight amusement.
"Either way, you should be resting until you feel better" Wyatt sternly said.
"Relax, I only had a headache when I woke up but I feel better. And I drank some water when I felt dehydrated" I explained.
Wyatt, knowing I wasn't going to go back and rest, sighed in defeat and nodded his head.
He looked around, seemingly expecting someone else to be here, before turning back to me.
"Where's Elena? Wasn't she with you?" Wyatt asked.
"She was. She was there when I woke up and gave me water" I said.
"Why isn't she here? You two are always together, it seems" Wyatt asked.
I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck.
"Elena and I talked about...everything, about the two of us, and I told her that while she's an amazing girl I can't bring myself to like her the way she likes me" I explained.
I looked at Wyatt, hoping he would quickly catch onto what I was trying to tell him.
However, Wyatt just looked confused, which made me want to groan.
Is he really that oblivious?
"Because I still have feelings for the idiot standing in front of me" I added, sighing as I rolled my eyes.
Finally, thank god, he understood what I was saying because his eyes widened in realization.
The realization soon turned into relief and happiness, something I haven't seen after we broke up.
