Abir.

"I..." I bet she's going to run away. "I need to get my coffee." Oh, baby.

Before I could stop her she's gone out of my reach.

"Hey bro, what's up?" Alwin asked casually but nothing was casual when I stared at him. I'm about to give him a little shake but Aditi is here and I hope to god she punches his face.

"What was that?" Aditi asks him.

"Now don't tell me you want to eat."

"No, I don't want to eat."

"Then why are you here? Weren't you supposed to be studying?" He sounded sterner while Aditi was confused by his sudden change in tone. Of course, he was having way too much fun a few minutes back. Turning to my side he told,

"And you? Don't you dare come to me whining that Mishti's not into you, if you keep scaring her away how will she ever be comfortable with you?" Saying he leaves with the empty food tray in hand.

"He's insane?" I ask Aditi and she shrugs equally irritated as me.

"Mostly. Let's get back to class."

"Not until I talk to Mishti. How was she when you guys met yesterday?"

"She was fine, super concentrating on her meditations. The only thing is she avoids talking when I bring you into any of the conversations. She basically doesn't want to talk about you."

"You are motivating me." I shake my head.

"Come on Abir, she does have a spark in her eyes whenever I take your name. I've seen it."

"But she won't talk. What does that mean?"

"Maybe she's afraid of something? And what was Alwin talking about you scaring her away, what exactly did you do?"

"I never did anything to scare her away. Do I look like a jerk?"

"No." She drags her answer, possibly thinking about it.

"You're not helping me," I tell her. "I'm going to find her."

"I guess there is something more to her silence. She will open up when she wishes Abir. Just give her your time and love. That is what we girls want." She too walks away leaving me behind with my thoughts.

Love?

I love Mishti. I know I love her and will be there forever. Maybe she wants me to tell her just that?

For that, I'd want her to talk to me. If anything she keeps sprinting every time I begin to have a serious conversation. Not even once she has sat through patiently and listened to me. Either she has to work or had to study and other whole lots of excuses. I see her running away from me every time. Also, I remember the time when she told that she feels timid when with me.

If I'm being honest, she makes me nervous and that's not the feeling I enjoy. I'm afraid of messing up our relationship even before we had a chance together. I wouldn't forgive myself if I had hurt her in the process. So I had to be composed and not hasty to make the matter worse. That would've happened had I not apologized to her for snapping at her the other day when she was talking with that stupid Sam.

I don't even want to go there. I'll lose it if I'm going to be thinking about that scumbag.

When I entered her class, Mishti was there between a few people as she listens and laughs with her friends. I notice Abinav, my team cap being one of those in that group.

He noticed quickly and waved at me. Mishti moved back a little, leaving too much space between us.

"What are you doing here? Are we practicing soon today?"
