I woke up at 2 pm. My head was aching, so I looked for Mateo. When I opened my eyes, he was still sound asleep, facing away from me. I left him alone for now. I got up to wash my face. When I was done, I went back to kiss Mateo on the forehead and went downstairs.

As I walked down, I was still thinking about what happened, wondering what happened while I was unconscious, about my dream. I reached the kitchen and only saw Mom there, reading the newspaper.

"Mom, good afternoon po," I got her attention and went to her to kiss her on the cheek.

"Afternoon, how's your feeling? Where's Javier?" She picked up her cup and took a sip.

Umupo ako para sumabay na sa hapag kainan.

"I think I'm okay. Mateo is still sleeping. I didn't wake him up. Nasaan po si Dad?" I asked her because I couldn't find him.

"Business trip," she said simply. I just nodded and started to eat.

"Hmm, can we talk about your dream?" she asked carefully. I looked up and stared at her. I just shook my head.

Bumuntong hininga ako at umiling.

"I don't want to remember," I said. She nodded.

"Okay, I won't force you, but if you want someone to talk to, Mommy is here. I don't want to force you because it's bad for you, but at least let us know what it is so we can help you," she said, hugging me. I hugged her back.

"Opo," sagot ko. Ngumiti lang siya.

Matagal akong nakatitig sa kaniya at mukhang napansin naman ni Mommy ang pag titig ko.

"Do you have something to say?" she asked, setting down her cup and staring at me. I straightened up.

"Mommy, what is Mateo's job? I saw some guns in Mateo's room," I asked carefully. She suddenly looked away.

"Anyway, can we go to the mall? I want to buy a new dress. I'll rent the mall, you know," she said, changing the subject. It was obvious that she didn't want to talk about it, so I let it go.

I can sense na mayroon silang tinatago sa akin.

"I'll see if Mateo will agree," I said, causing her to roll her eyes.

"I'll take care of Javier," she said. I just nodded and didn't answer her.

I finished eating, and just as I was done, Mateo woke up. It was obvious he had just finished showering because his hair was still wet and I could smell his shampoo.

"Afternoon, hubby. Kumain ka na," I said. He just nodded and sat next to me.

"Are you okay now?" he asked while drinking his coffee. I nodded.

"Ah, I'm going shopping with Mom," I said. He stopped drinking his coffee and turned to me with a furrowed brow.

"No, you just woke up, and now you're planning to go outside? What if what happened months ago happens again? So, No," he said firmly, making me frown.

Mommy excused herself to take a shower.

"Please, hubby. Hindi na 'yon mauulit. Ate just made a mistake, and we'll be with Alicia and Tayrence," I said, pouting.

"No, Zy. Final answer," he said and ignored me. He stopped when I said that, so I smiled widely.

"Just give me a kiss then," I said, pouting.

He turned to me quickly, pouting. I playfully rolled my eyes at him.

"Fine," he said. I quickly kissed him and hugged him.

"Thank you, hubby," I said, and kissed him again, but I stopped when someone spoke behind us.

He is covering his eyes. "My innocent eyes" sabi ng isang lalaki, sino naman ito?

"What are you doing here, Brian?" Mateo said seriously. The mood seemed to be ruined. The guy ignored him and instead came closer to me and offered his hand.

"I'm Brent Brian Tiangco. Pleased to meet you, miss?" He smiled at me. I took his hand and introduced myself.

"I'm Ashianna Zylene Montevallo. Mateo's wife," I said. He smiled even wider and nodded.

"I see," he said, looking at Mateo with a playful smile. Mateo looked like he was ready to punch him.

"No doubt, she is pretty," he said. I just shook my head and sat down.
