"No, Luliana is my girlfriend, and I'm her boyfriend," sabi niya na parang tanga. Tapos nilagyan niya ng pagkain ang plato ko.
"He said that words over and over again, nakakainis," sabi ni Tayrence. Tumango-tango naman si Alicia at ngumiwi.
“He’s super annoying, Kuya Mateo is annoying. Paulit-ulit niyang sinasabi ‘yan,” Alicia said, but instead of getting annoyed, Mateo just laughed. “He’s weird.”
“It’s okay. I’m Luliana’s boyfriend,” he said, sounding like a complete goofball. I was starting to get annoyed myself.
“See?!” Alicia said with a roll of her eyes. Tita Majika just shook her head.
Mateo shook his head and laughed. “It’s fine, I am Luliana’s girlfriend,” he said with a grin and winked at me. I just raised an eyebrow.
Tita Majika sighed dramatically. “Argh! He is not my son. This is not him anymore!” she exclaimed. “Where is my son?!”
Even I was getting tired of it. If you didn't know him, you'd think he was crazy.
“Crazy,” Alicia said, face-palming herself. The rest of us at the table just shook our heads.
“Umayos ka nga, naiinis na ako,” I whispered, getting frustrated.
He smiled at me. “It’s okay. I am your boyfriend,” he said. I pinched his arm, but he just ignored it and kept smiling. Everyone at the table, especially our son, was staring at him with a mixture of weirdness and amusement.
“Ewan ko sa’yo. Kumain ka na lang,” I said, ignoring him.
After breakfast, I got ready for work. We’re staying at the Montevallo house because we weren’t allowed to go home, but it’s fine.
This man is getting on my nerves. He’s been grinning like a fool, his lips about to split in two.
“Tumigil ka sa kakangiti mo, Mateo. Kanina pa ako naiinis sa’yo,” I said, exasperated. He was still grinning. If I didn’t know him, I would have thought he was crazy.
“What? I am just happy because tayo na. Sinagot mo na ako,” he said, sounding like a complete idiot.
“Oo na. Para kang sirang plaka. Paulit-ulit. Unlimited?!” I said, rolling my eyes. He just pouted.
He shook his head. “Don’t mind me. I am just happy,” he said. I shook my head and continued getting ready, because I was going to be late for work.
I grabbed my things and sprayed on some perfume.
“I have to go. Malalate na ako sa trabaho,” I said. He pouted. It was cute.
“Why do you need to work? I can give you everything you need. Even my mana. What’s mine is yours, what’s yours is yours,” he said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes.
“Yeah, you can, but I still want to work,” I told him. I leaned in to kiss him, but then I shook my head. It was too early for that, and I needed to get to work.
“Ang aga pa for you to leave,” he whined, sounding like a child as he fixed the bed.
“8 am na, Mateo. Tara na, malalate na ako,” I said. He didn’t argue, and followed me out. We both got ready, so he just had to make the bed.
