Chapter 12: My first day of 5th Grade

*August 16th, 2001* 

Hannah's POV

It's the first day of 5th grade, and I'm so nervous. Why is that? Well because we are the newest fifth graders of Cathedral- Carmel school. (A/N: I'm not 100% sure what school Hunter went to all I know is that he went to a Christian school that Lynette taught at, in Lafayette.) I heard that the 5th graders get to spend the night at a museum towards the end of the year.  The best part is that Hunter, Kaia, Danielle, and I are all in the same class. All of our parents think that's a bad idea knowing that we all are close. We all are in Mr. Taylor's class and this is his first year teaching. All 4 of us know Mr. Taylor because he was a student teacher for our 4th-grade class last year. So we are all super excited to have him as our teacher. 

Hunter's POV

It's the first day of 5th grade, and I'm so excited but a tad bit nervous. At least I'm in the same class as Hannah, Kaia, and Danielle, and our teacher is Mr. Taylor which I absolutely love because he was the best student teacher last year. He seemed like an older brother to me because I never had a brother or a sister before. 

Kaia's POV

Knowing that all 4 of us are in Mr. Taylor's class is so exciting because last year Danielle and I were not in the same class as Hannah and Hunter but Mr. Taylor switched between the four 4th-grade classrooms so we got to meet him a few times. So this year we are ending elementary with a bang, and speaking of Hannah and Hunter, I cannot be the only one seeing how cute they are together. Everyone in our grade sees it, I don't know if it's how close they are or if they like each other which they do. I hope they get together in middle school because they literally would be the cutest couple. 

Danielle's POV

We are the big kids of the school, and I'm so stoked. I also get to end elementary school with my three best friends, and the fact that Mr. Taylor is our teacher makes things even better I can't wait for the school year! I've also heard about the end-of-the-year night at the museum sleepover in New Orleans, I lost my mind when I found out. I can't wait for it. 

Hannah's POV

School starts in 10 minutes and I can't wait. I'm talking with Hunter, Danielle, and Kaia about what we are most excited about, and we all said the overnight field trip. I'm not surprised. Then the bell rang, we lined up and Mr. Taylor came outside to take us inside. I had the biggest smile walking into that school. 

A/N: Hey guys!! Happy New Year!! Hope you guys had a fantastic New Years' Eve, and I'm actually going to tell you guys about the next part of the saga. So the next book is called Safe and Sound. The book is going to be more PG-13 for the first part of the book because it's going to talk about abuse/bullying and a few parts are going to talk about an eating disorder. I was rethinking how I want to shape Hannah's character, and this came to mind because I wanted to show how strong and powerful her character is. It's also going to affect the later books in a good way knowing that she has a past that made her stronger and knowing that she had that one person who is beside her the whole time which was Hunter. So that's the main part I wanted to tell you guys, I've never written anything like that before, so I'm going off what I think in my head. Towards the middle and the end of the book is going to be back at PG so definitely read the end of the book if you can't read the first part of the book. Yeah, that's pretty much it.
