A/N: WARNING SOME CONVERSATIONS TALK ABOUT ABUSE
*December 20th, 2001*
There are five days before Christmas and I'm so excited! Hunter, Danielle, Kaia, and I are going sledding right now, and I'm waiting for my turn. Then I hear my name.
"Hannah, your turn", said Hunter.
"Ok," I said. I started to head down the hill and all of a sudden the worst thing happened. I lost control of my sled and started to go fast toward the creek all of us hang out at during the other three seasons. My sled was now going through the 4 feet of snow that was at the bottom of the hill. Once I got through the snow I was sledding toward the creek which was pure ice. I couldn't get off my sled because then I would still roll into the creek, so hopefully staying on the sled would be safer. I was wrong I fell straight through the ice into the freezing cold water before I blacked out.
*4 Hours Later*
*Hannah's POV*
I woke up in a hospital bed, not knowing what was going on. I tried to stand up and I fell into cold water again trying to swim back to the top.
*Hunter's POV*
It's been about 30 minutes since Hannah passed out at the top of the hill. Me and Danielle stayed with Hannah while Kaia went to go get an adult.
"She's not breathing," said Danielle frantically.
"It looks like she's holding her breath", I said back. My mom, dad, Emily, Tim, and Kaia came rushing back and all of a sudden I look at Hannah, and she woke up gasping for air. She had a very confused look on her face, then she asked what happen.
"You passed out", I said with a smile on my face.
*Hannah's POV*
I woke up to my parents, Hunter's parents, Kaia, Hunter, and Danielle hovering over me. I was very confused.
"What happen," I said.
"You passed out", Hunter said with a smile on his face.
"Oh I did?", I asked.
"Yeah I did, you scared all of us", Kaia said, jumping into the conversation.
"I'm sorry", I said with a giggle.
"We should go to the doctor to make sure you are ok", my mom said to me.
"Ok", I said slowly getting up. Hunter ended up going home with his parents. Kaia and Danielle also headed home too.
*2 Hours Later*
*Hannah's POV*
Everything seemed normal after I passed out. I told the doctor and my parents about the dream I had, and the doctor said it was very normal. We left the doctor, I was very excited that Christmas was in 5 days.
*Danielle's POV*
"Ok Danielle, see you later, bye", Kaia said to me.
"Bye", I said back. I walked into the house, and all of a sudden my dad starts screaming at me.
"WHERE WERE YOU?!?", my dad said screaming.
"I was sledding with Kaia, Hannah, and Hunter". I said frantically.
"GET UP STAIRS BEFORE I START WHIPPING YOU WITH MY BELT," my dad said while I ran up the stairs.
As soon as I got into my room, I started bawling my eyes out. I've been getting abused by my dad since 2nd grade, so for three years, I've been abused by him. I'm not the only one getting abused by my dad. My sister, older brothers, younger brother, and even my mom too. We've all kept it a secret from people so then my dad doesn't do anything terrible to us. I got up from my bed and moved to my desk to write in my journal.
