When people ask me why I read books
I look at them and shrug my shoulder
"I just like them I guess?"
But inside I think to myself.
I read books to escape
To escape my reality
To escape my demons
To escape my blade
For in stories imagination is key
And the possibilities are endless
I can be a knight
A princess
A warrior
A werewolf
A sorcerer
I can be anywhere
I can be in the Tardis
On the moon
At Hogwarts
In books nothing ends
And nothing begins
But in books I get lost
And I loose my reality
And my reality is sad
It has blades
And demons
And tears
So why do I read books
I get a little escape from reality
