Chapter 6 - Elijah

"Eli there's someone I met today. She is new here and is so beautiful and her chocolaty eyes made me go mad."

I listen to Aid's rambling. This boy can't go a few minutes without talking. We are entirely opposite twins. I am quiet, I love silence and being alone. Not the alone alone just my alone time alone.

This is new though I have never heard him talk so much about a girl before and it has intrigued me.

"Idiot walk fast, she is waiting for us."
" Just leave me be dumbass!" I seethe.

"Eli, there she is. She is beautiful isn't she?"

I look towards the direction his eyes are trained on and I stop. She is really beautiful, she seems pretty shy and the way Aiden was going on and on about her I know my lil brother has a crush on her. And that little shit knows very well her eyes would suck me in as well.

We walk towards her and the fact that she is blatantly ogling us makes me internally smirk, it's not just us I guess.

"Sam, this is Elijah. Eli this is Samantha."

She gives a small smile and mumbles a "Hi."

"Hey Samantha." She looks up at me with those brown eyes of hers. She is pretty.

"Come on. Let's go Lucas, James and Macy are waiting for us in the cafeteria." Aiden says and hold his hand for Sam to take.

He is whipped. Bad. And I have a feeling I am going to be too when I see her small palm being completely engulfed by his.

We make our way towards our friends they are talking about something and the moment they notice us they smile and tell us to hurry the fuck up. Idiots.

"Hey Idiots and Sam!" Lucas screams. He is the dramatic friend in our friends group. Aiden slides in first and Sam is now sitting between both of us. She squirms a little getting comfortable.

Once we get settled Aid goes over to get us food. He brings back 3 trays and we start eating. Sam hasn't touched the food yet and we both notice that.

"Why are you not eating?" I ask her.
She looks at me warily and takes some time before saying , " I a-am not h-hungry. S-sorry."

"Hey you don't need to apologise. You need anything else?" Aid asks.

"N-no. Thankyou." She gives him a tight lipped smile and looks out of the nearby window.

Aiden looks at me clearly feeling that something is wrong. She looks very weak and pale as if she haven't ate anything. I push my juice box towards her, she looks at it and then back at me.

"Have it, it's not good to skip meals. Please."

She stares at the box for a minute then nods her head and take a sip out of it.

I feel content that she listened, when I look away from her I see Aiden smiling and our friends looking at me as if I grew another head.

"Are you okay Elijah? Where is our Eli who is always silent and asks us to shut the fuck up?" Lucas asks smirking at me.

I scowl at him, "Shut up."

"There you go! I was worried for a moment." Lucas mumbles. They all start to laugh.

Once we are done we leave the cafeteria and walk to the grounds, Lucas, James and Macy leave us as they have lectures. We three have free period so we walk out of academy towards the benches around the lake outside.

We sit on the corners leaving Sam no other option than to sit between us.
Aid starts asking her about her earlier school, she gives vague answers and is not opening up much which is given as to the amount of time she has known us but there's something about her that is intriguing.

I have a peak of the book nestling in her bag . Oh

"You read?"
"Yes. I love reading."
"I do too"

She gives me a pretty smile but it's gone the instant she looks behind me. Her face pales.

"I-I n-need to leave."
