Chapter 7: The being of knowledge

Y/n's POV

"Bye Y/n, have a fun day at school!" Papa exclaimed.

"Bye papa." I said and got out of papa's car. Papa's car drove away as I enter the school. And out of the corner of my eye, I see the same two tails I saw yesterday disappear behind a tree.

'What was that?' I thought curiously, but decided to ignore it and went to class.

...

I was sitting in is class while my teacher was teaching us.

"If ___ has 8 apples, and ___ took two, how many..." I tuned out our teacher while looking out the window.

I zone out, admiring the view outside the window.

"Uxie.."

I snap back to reality, and look at the sound, and notice two tails disappear again.

"What was that?" I mutter curiously.

The bell rings, signaling the start of recess.

'I wonder what that was...'

3rd POV

Eric's car pulled up at their drive way and Y/n jumped out. The blonde man turned the car off and exited the car.

He unlocked the front door and Y/n ran in.

The child dropped his bag in his room, and ran downstairs to play with Eevee, Riolu, and Abra.

Y/n didn't know why, but his mind had not stopped thinking about what he heard earlier. He felt a huge amount of curiosity for something he'd never seen, and he didn't know why.

Y/n  walked down the stairs and saw Eevee and Riou chasing each other, and Abra sitting alone and watching the other two.

"Uxie"

Y/n heard the voice once again and turned to where it came from, and saw a blue fairy-like creature with it's eyes closed, a yellow face connected to what looks like a helmet which was yellow as well, two tails with gems stones in the middle, and a red gem on the creature's forehead. Floating outside of the back door.

The creature flew away, and Y/n became intrigued with the creature. "Eevee, Riolu, Abra!" The three creatures turned their head at Y/n, who signaled them to follow him and ran out the back door.

The three creatures ran up to, or teleported to Y/n as he chased after the fairy-like creature, who flew into the forest.

Y/n, Eevee, Riolu, and Abra ran at the fairy-like creature barefooted, running through dirt, jumping over tree roots, climbing over big rocks.

"Uxie"

Y/n turned towards the voice and saw it disappearing deeper into the forest. Y/n ran after the creature. 

"Uxie"

Y/n heard the voice again and chased after it faster. 

Y/n shoved ducked under tree branches, and pushed small twigs out of the way as he tried to catch up to the creature, determined to at least find out what it was.

Y/n saw the fairy-like creature disappear into a clearing and ran after it. And discovered a beautiful clearing with a huge and beautiful lake. And there floated the fairy-like creature, floating in the middle of the lake.

"Welcome, child." Y/n heard the creature speak but didn't see their mouth move, which confused him.

Sensing Y/n's confusion, the creature spoke again. "I am speaking through our minds dear child." The creature explained to Y/n.

"H-huh? How are you speaking through my mind?" Y/n asked the fairy-like creature.

The creature simply shook it's head and answered. "It is one of my many abilities, child." The creature spoke.

Y/n was about to ask the creature something, but the creature cut him off. "I am sure you are wondering why you are here, am I correct?"

Y/n nodded his head.

"Let us start with a small introduction first. I am Uxie, the being of knowledge." The creature, now know as Uxie, stated.

"Nice to meet you Uxie, I'm Y/n!" Y/n introduced himself.

"What do yourselves?" The little boy asked and Uxie seemed a bit confused at his question.

Uxie chuckled "Do you mean what we call our species?" Uxie asked Y/n, who nodded.

"We are called pokemon."

Y/n smiled happily. Happy to know what Eevee's species are called.

Y/n tried thinking of another question to ask the pokemon, but thought of nothing, and Uxie decided to speak.

"You are here because I have a task for you." The creature said, taking Y/n by surprise.

"T-task?" The little boy stuttered, to which the creature just nodded their head.

"Child, I want you to help bring people and pokemon together." The pokemon requested, shoking Y/n.

"Huh!? Why me? I'm just a kid!" Y/n shouted in confusion as Uxie just shook their head.

"Child you are more than capable in bringing us and people together." The pokemkn stated.

"Are you sure? What if I cant?" The creature shook it's head at this.

"You have been taking care three of pokemon, I'm sure you can bring us together." The creature said, and continued talking. "Besides, I will guide you, and provide you with as much knowledge about us as possible."

Y/n thought about it for a bit and smiled. "I'll do it!"

The creature smiled at this, happy with Y/n's answer.

"Thank you for your consideration child." The creature floated closer towards Y/n, untill they were a few feet from eachother.

"Y/n, I look forward to teaching you more about us pokemon." Uxie said, and suddenly, Y/n was in his room with Eevee, Riolu, and Abra.

Y/n thought of Uxie for a few seconds, and smiled. Glad to know there is a chance people and pokemon could live together in peace.
