Happy New Year! Hey guys! I know it's been like 6 months but you know I'm alive. I've been working on this chapter since June because I was busy working on y/n's backstory. I absolutely want to make sure that it makes sense. But anyway please enjoy the chapter. :]

Yuta's pov

After a refreshing shower, Yuta donned his uniform and stepped out the door. However, he soon realized he had left his sword behind and had to return to retrieve it.

With each dreadful step down the empty hallway, Yuta's anxiety grew. Outside, Y/n, Inumaki, and Gojo-sensei stood by a black car, ready for whatever awaited them.

'Ah this is my first real fight...no second. It makes me kinda nervous.'  Yuta thought, gripping his sword tightly. The nerves were undeniable.

Yuta's train of thought was interrupted when he felt something tapping his shoulder.

"Salmon," he heard in an ominous voice.

"Ahhh!" Yuta yelped, he quickly turned over his shoulder only to see it was Inumaki.

"Oh...um...I'm sorry?" Yuta stammered, embarrassment coloring his cheeks.

"Toge, don't scare the boy you know he's jumpy." Y/n teased, her grin infectious.

Inumaki nodded his head in agreement. "Salmon."

"A-am not, he just surprised me." Yuta retorted, trying to sound convincing.

"Hey, Yuta!" Gojo's voice rang out, beckoning the raven-haired boy.

"Yes?" Yuta responded, curious.

"Sorry, I can't join you guys today. It's a mission that Toge and Y/n can handle easily, so just relax," Gojo explained. "There's only one thing you need to remember. Don't let Rika out. There's no guarantee that she'll calm down like last time. Only use as much of Rika's power as you can through the sword."

Yuta absorbed Gojo's instructions, the lump in his throat growing. The incessant talking only heightened his nervousness.

"If Rika comes out again..." Gojo's hand mimicked a chopping motion at his neck. "You and I will both be executed, so be careful.~" The man's grin remained wide.

"Wait, what—" Yuta began, but Gojo had vanished, leaving him bewildered.

'Why tell me this now?!' Yuta thought to himself, he broke into a nervous sweat.

"I call the window seat!!" Y/n's exclamation filled the car as she leaped into it.

Yuta found himself sandwiched between Inumaki and Y/n, not that he had much say in the matter. Y/n rested her face on her hand, peering out the window. Meanwhile, Inumaki remained engrossed in his phone.

'How come he got the window seat when he's not even looking out the window?'  Yuta wondered, only to be jolted from his thoughts as the car came to a stop.

"We've arrived," Ijichi announced, reaching for his keys and opening the door.

As Yuta stepped out of the car, the sweet scent of baked goods enveloped his senses. They had arrived at the entrance of an old shopping district, its metal doors rusted and cracked glass windows boarded up.

"Mmmm, what's that smell?" Y/n wondered aloud, tilting her head to catch more of the aroma.

"It's the Hapina Shopping District," Ijichi explained, reading details from his phone. "Currently mostly a shutter district, but part of it will be demolished for a large shopping center."
