Chapter 8 ✭This Is Why I Hate Kids✭

Y/n's pov

Yuta ran over to the sprawled-out Y/n. "Y/n are you okay?! What's wrong?"

Y/n slowly placed her index finger against her lips, her eyes went wide.

'Okay calm down, as long as we remain quiet they shouldn't attack us.'

Yuta stopped to look at the ceiling, his heart practically leaped into his throat as he let out a loud scream. He attempted to step back but he tripped over his own feet, the boy fell on his bottom with a loud thud.

The scream was so high-pitched that Y/n thought there was a little girl in the room. She was definitely going to make fun of him for that later.

'I said be quiet! Are you trying to be their lunch?!'

Y/n immediately got up and shushed the boy. He quickly got up and covered his mouth as he cursed himself internally.

But it was too late.

That sudden noise was loud enough to wake the creatures above them. Y/n looked up to see clusters of red eyes looking down on them. The abnormally sized spiders started climbing -a few of them jumped-from the ceiling and onto the floor.

Y/n's heart rate practically doubled as she saw the spiders come towards them. "Oh, my..."

"They're coming closer, what do we do?" Yuta gulped.

At that moment Y/n's fight or flight kicked in. Her body chose flight and she quickly grabbed her phone from the floor. "We run!"

"What?!" Yuta looked back to see that Y/n was screaming and already halfway down the hallway.

Yuta shrieked as the hoard of spiders started chasing him. Luckily, he was able to catch up with Y/n in a matter of seconds.

After dodging hundreds of thick spider webs and quickly turning corners, Yuta found an open room to hide in. Y/n quickly locked the door behind her and barricaded it with a nearby desk. The room seemed to be an empty office of some sort. It had windows that let in a good amount of sunlight.

Once Y/n finished the barricade she slid against a wall and sat to catch her breath.

'Whew, that was close.'

Y/n let out a tired huff as she fanned herself with her hand. "Wow Yuta, you're pretty fast."

Yuta found an empty crate nearby, he turned it over and sat on it. The boy rested his sweaty palms on his knees as he caught his breath. "I can't believe you left me to get eaten by the spiders!"

Y/n turned to Yuta and grinned. "I did say to run."

'I also said to be quiet. I guess I can't blame him though, those spiders were terrifying. I practically almost pissed my pants...or my skirt?'

Yuta sighed as he wiped the sweat from his brow. He'd kill for a nice cold bottle of water right now. "What are we going to do now? There are way too many of those things out there."

'We burn the whole building down.'

Y/n got up and walked towards the broken window. "We'll have to fight them," Y/n answered, her voice shifted to a low mumble. "Though I don't really want to...I hate spiders with a passion and I'd rather jump out of this window over here than see another spider web." Y/n peeked outside the window and looked down.
