Ch. 3 The Supermarket

An hour and thirty minutes later, Diana safely arrived at the beach. She widely smiled when she felt the ocean breeze happily greeting her with soft, salty, wet kisses.

" It's good to be home at last," Diana stretches, and she turns to the left, seeing her childhood home, a Beach House in the distance.

Diana begins to run in the direction of the Beach House. She widely smiled when she saw the door open, and one of her maternal Aunts, a 6'6" Gem named Garnet, waved at her.

" Garnet!" Diana happily greets Garnet. She ran up the stairs and attacked the taller Gem with a hug.

" Hello, Diana. How did your schooling go? Greg says that today is an important milestone for you since you are now a Senior," Garnet greets Diana with a hug.

" First day of school went well! And I have heard so many positive things about Senior year from the upper-level students before me. I hear that traditionally Seniors experience events such as Prom and Grad Night," Diana speaks. She lets go of Garnet and steps inside the Beach House.

" And we want you to experience all of that," Another feminine voice calls out, causing Diana and Garnet to look forward, and they see a 5'10" Gem named Pearl entering the Beach House from her bedroom.

" Pearl!" Diana ran up to Pearl, and the two females hugged each other.

" Hello, Diana," Pearl fondly smiled while lovingly brushing Diana's wavy pale pink hair with her right hand.

" Hey! Diana is back from that hell hole Vidalia calls school!" A third feminine voice shouted, causing everyone to turn their gaze, and they saw a 5'4" Gem named Amethyst rolling into the Beach House from her bedroom.

" Hey, Amethyst!" Diana amusingly stared at Amethyst.

" Hey, Diana," Amethyst unrolled themselves, and they widely smiled at Diana.

" Where's Steven?" Diana asked when she didn't see her younger brother.

All the Gems turned their gaze to Steven's bedroom, a loft in the Beach House, upstairs from the living room.

" Cooookkiiiieee Caaaattsss," Steven groans while hiding underneath his bedsheets.

" I think Steven has finally become a zombie," Amethyst teases.

" Amethyst!" Pearl screeches while glaring at Amethyst.

Garnet turns her gaze to Diana.

" We sadly do not have any more of Steven's favorite ice sugary treats in the freezer," Garnet explains.

" I'll go cheer him up," Diana reassures the Gems, and she walks up the stairs to Steven's bedroom.

" Steven," Diana fondly calls out, causing Steven to peek and stare at his older sister.

" Hey, you're back," Steven mumbled, looking disappointed since he was craving his favorite dessert, Cookie Cats.

" Dad and the Gems told me what happened. And I am here to let you know that I am going to the supermarket with Pearl to get some school supplies. And we will stop by the Ice cream section to see if there are any Cookie Cats in stock," Diana lovingly stared at her younger brother.

Steven's dark eyes sparkled when he heard that Diana was going to the supermarket with Pearl and that they would stop by the Ice cream section.

" Can I come?" Steven asked, looking hopeful.

" Of course, you can!" Diana widely smiled.

Steven gasped in happiness. He pushes his blanket to the side, gets on the bed, and jumps.
