You sighed and walked down the dark stairway, which led to a door on the side of the castle. You gently closed the door behind you so it didn't slam, and walked through the grass, the crisp blades crunching under your bare feet. You picked a few small flowers from the garden and continued your journey, the sun just barely began to rise in the distance. You stopped once you reached the family plot, where all of the past royalty were buried. You kneeled between two graves, Prince Toya Todoroki and King Enji Todoroki

You sighed and placed the small flowers on Enji's grave.

"What are you doing out here?" Katsuki said.

You whipped your head around. "You scared me."

"Sorry," he said, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "I saw you walking down here from my window."

"I see," you said. "I was just paying respect to father's grave."

"I've never seen you come here before," Bakugo said.

"Because I didn't," you said. "But," you sighed. "I dunno. I just thought it was time. I'm sure father has been waiting to see me."

Bakugo stared at you in silence as you kneeled over, resting your forehead on the cool grass. "I miss him, ya know," you said in a soft voice.

"I know," Katsuki said.

you sat up. "None of this was supposed to happen this way," your voice cracked and you ran your hands down your face.

Katsuki took a step closer to you and tsked. "You're not even wearing shoes," he scolded. "Get your ass up. No- better yet-" Katsuki lifted you up bridal style. "I swear, you're fucking weird."

You rolled your eyes.

Katsuki started walking towards the castle. "None of this is on you, ya know," Katsuki said. "The king paid for his actions, and that sick brother of yours will too."

"You have an odd way of trying to comfort me," you said.

Katsuki shrugged.

You smiled and put your hand on his head. "Thank you," you said. "You're always there for me, ready to protect me or scold me for doing something idiotic. I can't imagine not having you in my life."

Katsuki set you down and opened the side door. "Yeah, save the mushy shit for Eijiro," he tsked. "He's the one in love with you."

"And you aren't?" You said, tilting your head to the side.

Katsuki stared at you for a moment, then walked away.

"Good morning, master!" Keigo chirped.

"Morning, Keigo," you said with a small smile. He held his arm out, which you gracefully took. He walked you to the throne room, where Shoto and Natsuo were already.

"Good morning, brothers," you said.

"_____ you don't want to hear this bullshit," Shoto snapped, glaring at Natsuo.

"I'm just saying, someone, as in one of you, needs to have an heir!"

"We have Eri," Shoto said.

Natsuo shook his head. "You two are getting older. You need to start getting serious about-"

"These damn rules are stupid," Shoto said. "I don't want children, and ____ shouldn't be forced! Besides, if you wanna follow the rules, she needs a child with Todoroki blood. I'm sure you're not volunteering to fuck our sister so-"

"There are ways we can get around that," Natsuo said. "I was just bringing the matter to your attention. The elders-"

"When have I ever listened to those old geezers," you said, sitting on your throne. "If we decide to have children, then so be it, but father already broke multiple laws allowing me to join the family and rule alongside Shoto. If we decide Eri will have the throne, then she will be queen."

"Does she even want to b queen?" Natsuo said.

"We'll talk about that when the time comes," you said. "She's just a kid. What's with all the diplomatic shit so early anyway?"

"The elders are worried after what happened with Toya. If something were to happen to you-"

"Nothing will happen to Shoto as long as I'm alive," you said. "And Toya wanted us to have the throne-"

"He wanted you to have the throne so he could fulfill his sick fantasy of being with you," Natsuo corrected.

"Whatever," you said. "Toya is no match for me or Shoto, so there's no problem here. I'm done with this."

"Shall I walk you to the garden?" Keigo said.

"Please?" You sighed.
