I saved his number and put his name as Langston with some emojis
Langston: What you doing
Me: nun on my way to Starbucks to apply for a job... What bout you
Langston: coo coo... I don't mean straight forward... But can I see you
Me: I'm blushing... Lol Idk my cousins like my brother he's over protective... Plus your little groupies wouldn't like that.
Langston: who cares
Me: I don't its just I like just got here maybe just maybe
Me: Well you can but don't bring your possie
Langston: really? Where at... I'm sorry I'm just Happy you said yes... Anyways I could show you around if you want
Me: i know this place top to bottom thhing you could show me to is a.....
Langston: a..... What.... A date?
Me: maybe maybe not
Langston: Seriously... Come on stop playing ccoy foreal
Me: nahh but I'm not that type of person to lie so I'm gonna tell you that I like you but I don't know you well enough to say I really like you I just know you have cute smile and you hang out with my cousin
No response.
I threw my phone onto the passenger seat and pulled into the parking lot of Starbucks
"Hi, I heard your hiring" I say to the man in the green pulled out an application and I took it and went home.
"I'm home!" I yell
"Bena were in the kitchen" I hear my Aunt say. I walk into the kitchen and Uncle.Carlos is looking at his phone and aunt Libby is cutting out coupons
"How was school... Did you make any friends?" She asked cutting out a coupon for toilet paper
"It was and yea I made friends with some of Day Days friends who only two Julian and Langston" my cheeks started to flush with warmth
"You like that Langston Kid... Ooo she has a crush"my aunt said wiggling her eyebrows.  That makes my uncle look up from his phone
"Is this boy older than you" he said
"Of course he is... Everyone's older than me my birthday is in December... Nahh i'm kidding I don't know but check tomorrow cause there coming over so I can help them with there Spanish homework" I said grabbing a fruit snack out the cabinet.
I feel my phone vibrate and Langston's name is popping up on my screen
Langston: I won't be able to show you around and we can't really talk anymore either
I read the text in utter confusion
Me: That's.... Fine... Ig... bye
I say and I didn't bother to see what he text back...

Next Morning.
I stopped at Starbucks and dropped off the application and got a coffee and a danish and off to the school I went... I ignored Langston all through
First period... He kept passing  me notes and I only pushed them on the ground not bothering to see what they said...
Langston POV
I seriously have no idea what I did or said to her to make her not speak to me... All through first hour I kept sending her notes but all she did was swat them on the ground... I go into the gym with Julian and Day Day
"What's wrong" Julian ask
"Come over here" I said pulling him away from the crowd
"I don't know what I did to Carter but she won't talk to me... I don't know what I did" I said... Honestly having no idea what the fuck I did.
"Check over your phone... Remember that Gurl was with you" Julian said and I pulled out my phone and went Carter and I messages... The girl sent her a message saying she couldn't talk to me anymore but posing like it was me and she text back that's fine Ig bye and didn't text back...
Carters POV
I see Langston text back walking up to me so I start to walk in the other direction but ended up catching up with me
"Carter please talk talk to me" He said and I think the popular girls catch on amdbone of them gets up and walks over to us
"Langston what are you doing... Stop taking to this nobody" The girl said
"Hey blue waffle first of all this is my second day here you don't know me to be making me a nobody Second of All Langston didn't come over to do anything... And third of all there's no need to catch an aditude cause mines is way worse kitty" I said picking up my hoodie and walking away I didnt bother to turn around.
