Chapter 17 - Rise and Shine

Carter POV
"Carter sweetheart wake up" I swear I hear my moms voice.
"Mom? When did you get here" I say
"Uhh its Libby.... Now get up because your about to be late" She says pulling the cover off of my body. Doing my usual routine but when I got into the shower the water felt so good on my skin that I stayed in for an extra 10 minutes.
I had got out the shower and found something simple to put on like some black skinny jeans and a Red and Black Old Navy hoodie, put on some eye liner and mascara and left put the door to school.

"Hey!" Caramel said walking up to me giving me a big hug.
"Hi Caramel" I said smiling back and greeting her.
"Sooo how was the date? Did he kiss you under the moonlight? Ohh better yet where did you guys even go" She said All excited.
"Worlds of Fun for one I kissed him when he carried me to my room... That i will tell you about later and the date was beyond great" I said smiling ear to ear. She peared behind me so I wanted to see what she was seeing and I turned around and see Langston walking towards where we were.
"Wait how do I look" I said in a panicky voice
"You look fine now turn around he's almost here" She said turning me around by shoulders.
"Haha ha Langston" I said in a nervous Laugh.
"Hi Carter" He said wrapping his around my waist pulling me into a right hug, from the corner of my eye I could see people looking and whispering, and it made me smile.
"Alright lover boy enough I think your becoming soft" I said playfully punching his chest. He played along and made a face like he was really hurt.
Then he got all serious on me.
"Carter can I get a...." He said before he smashed our lips together. This guy has to stop surprising me with random kisses.
I had to admit it at one point I was waiting for him to do that.
We unlocked our lips and I caught my breathe and he hit me with another kiss. Ohh gawd.
"So what does this mean" I say unlocking our lips once again
"What does what mean?" He says with a confused look, he's so adorable when he makes that face.
"This.... The date... Us" I say.
"I want you to say it" He says smiling
"Say what" Playing dumb but I knew exactly what he wanted me to say. He wanted me say I was his Girlfriend "I'm your girlfriend" I mumbled
"What was that" He says and the school was getting packed with more and more students.
So if he planned on me yelling it I'm not.
"I'm your......... Girlfriend" I say sighing in relief.
"I didn't quite hear that can you repeat that" He say smiling
"Ohh my god! I'm your Girlfriend Langston Higgins!" I yelled and I know he was happy he defeated me in whatever he was doing.
Everyone starred with smiles on there faces. I looked down at the ground trying to hide that the fact that I was blushing really hard.
He lifted my head with his index finger and he looked into my eyes.
"Your mine and only mine" He said leaning in and kissed me but this kiss was filled with lust, passion, Love... Woah way to far anyway it was an amazing kiss.
I think he was surprised by my reaction to the kiss.
"Happy?" He asked kissing my head.
"Maybe" I say smiling.
The bell rang and Langston and I waked to our first hour we shared, which was American History.
The teacher was surprised to see me and Langston holding hands Mr. Robbie have Langston a thumbs up like he did a good job or something.
I rolled my eyes and scoffed.
"Guess what you guys" Mr. Robbie said smiling
"I don't know what" A guy Mr. Robbie calls Rodguiez, he seems to really love drawing this sick dragon on the desk. Its pretty cool, no one ever touches it or sits there.
"Pop Quiz" He says laughing at our groans.
It took me less than 15 minutes to take it because I already knew every answer because I took the exact same test back in Missouri.
"Ms. Bates wait sorry Mrs. Higgins" Mr. Robbie said joking
"Hardy har har... Yes" I say smiling
"You finished the test incredibly fast.... Don't you think you should look over it" He said.
"Uhh no... I'm pretty sure that's so right" I say pointing at the paper.
"Okay" he says standing up.
I went to sit back down and I saw Langston getting all the answers right. He must have been studying his ass off.

The bell rang and people started rushing out the door and more students started Coming in.
"Uhh Mr. Higgins can you stay for a minute?" Mr. Robbie said.

Langston POV
Mr. Robbie asked me to stay for a minute.
"Yea" I said looking at Carter.
"Uhh I'll just be in the gym" She said pointing awkwardly at whatever she was pointing at and she finally disappeared into the croud of teens.
"So what do you wanna talk about?"
"Well for starters I heard about your big announcement this pass weekend and I wanted to say congrats, she is a smart one... Not like all the dumb ones you pick because there looks. But anyway to the real topic, you aced the test man... Thank you... Your grade had shot up tremendously and Carter is very school smart to so if you need any help you have her right by your side... Now get out of here before Principal Rodgers catches you" Mr. Robbie said. I walked into the boys locker room and changed into my clothes.
'Wassup Langston'
'Aye man what up'
'I heard about your new girlfriend'
I greeted them all back and waked into the gym to find Carter sitting on the bleachers by herself listening to music.
"Carter?" I said trying to get her attention.
Then Day Day, Julian and they girlfriends came up to us with big grins in these faces
"So are you two.... Dating... Ohh and how was the date" Julian said making his voice really deep.
"Carter!!" I yelled then Day Day yanked her ear buds out.
"Nigga yo boyfriend been calling yo name for the longest" Day Day said
"Sorry... Yes Langston" She said turning towards me
"I wanted to know what was wrong but you seem to be pretty fine" I say making her smile.
"So what did you guys do on the date" Julian said
"I never kiss and tell" Carter said shaking her head.
"What happened?!" Julian said
"Like she said I never kiss and tell" I said grabbing Carter.
The gym teacher came in and we went to our spots and did our usual thing that was stretching, four laps around the track inside the gym and we were free to do whatever. After we were finished I ran up to Carter by her waist.
"Hi Batman" I said
"Hi Superman" She said grabbing my hand.

Kellie saw us holding hands and she and her friends came up to us.
"What the fuck did I tell you" She said to Carter
"You talking me? Ohh she can't be Langston she talking to you" Carter said laughing
"Nahh she ain't talking me" I said
"You think you just so Bad Ass don't you?" Kellie said stepping upbti her face
"Yea I sure as hell do... You gone do something about it? But if you want me to hand you your ass on a silver plater like I said I could give it to you... But not over a boy... No offense Langston" She said
I looked at her feeling somewhat offenced. She gave me a sorry loom and Kellie said some more words while Carter waited for her to finish
"Aye lady look here I told you I'm not about to talk but as soon as you feel like you wanna catch yo ones" She said and Kellie walked away.
"Carter I'm telling you now I cannot stand her I don't like her." I said not trying to make her even mad.
"Its fine I believe you... Now isn't Superman suppose to kiss t
His coworker" She said wrapping her arms around my neck. And locked our lips together.
"I think we should do this more often" I said and she smiled through the kiss.
"Alright well the bell is about to ring so I'm gonna go and change back into my original clothes." She said patting my chest.
"Yea that would be best..." I said and she walked away.

Apparently we both took a shower cause when she came out the gym her hair was wet and it was pulled into a messy bun. She looked even more beautiful when her hair was wet. Actually her hair looked black. She caught me starring and walked up to me
"You see something you like... Well I do I think his name is... Is.... Umm... I forgot wait... I got it his name is Langston" She said joking around I gave her a kiss and we walked to the lunchroom.
Kellie and her click wrfe sitting at a table and Well For Day Day and Julian.
"Sooo... What's for lunch?' Julian asked.
"Funions and a Sprite" Carter said pulling the chips and soda out her bag.
We decided to hey come lunch from the school... The day went by pretty quick.

"Well bye Boyfriend name Langston." Carter said giving me a kiss and walking to her car.
