Chapter 16 - Big Date

Carter POV
The party was almost over and soon it would be time for our date.
"Its almost that time" My Aunt whispered in my ear.
"I know I'm alreadt nervous... Don't make me even more nervous" I said
"Okay okay... " She said putting her hands up like she was innocent.
"Hey everyone listen up were golf shift this shindig to the backyard" My Aunt yelled hi get everyones attention.
I get a text from a familiar number... Langston's number.
Langston: Ready?
Me: Yea.
He looked up at me and waked over
"Come on" He said grabbing my hand and leading us to his black Ram F150
He opened the for for me and ran back around to the other side and got in.
"What s gentlemen" I say sarcastically making us both laugh.
Langston POV
Where do I take her... I didn't think this through. Ugh... Maybe we should go to that amusement park.
I tried to pay it cool and casually put my hand on her thigh. She looked at me and gave me one of the sexiest smiles ever. I mean her smiles were beautiful, but this one was beyond that.
I put the address for the amusement park Worlds of Fun that I looked up on Google. We arrived there and it was packed families and friends were all here people from around the states were here and everything.
"You didn't... I was kidding..." She smiling.
"What... Come on... Nothing bad will happen to you. I promise" I said we walked up and waited in line.
It was finally our turn. I paid for the tickets. Those tickets are high as hell. She even offered to pay for half but I insisted ob paying the full prise.
The may have us our tickets and we asked through the amusement park.
"Hi by name is David, do you guys want to take some pictures?" The guy said holding up the camera.
"Yea sure" Carter said.
"You guys on a date?" He asked we nodded and took two pictures.
"Thank you" Carter said.

The first ride we decided to get on was The Patriot. It seems like Carter had been here before. Is there one in Kansas City?
"Have you been here before?" I asked walking up a little.
"Yea.. But it was back in Missouri... And that's when I began to be afraid of heights again. There was obs ride that made me afraid of heights and that's the Mamba" She said pointing to the tallest ride in the park.
"Come here" I said grabbing her hand. Abother... Well a couple behind us were doing the same thing as us
"First date?" The guy said to Carter and I
"Yeah. Yours?" I asked
"Yeah... I'm nervous" The guy said.
"I just asked her yesterday" I said.
"What's your name?" He said
"Langston" I said
"My name is Corey" He said.
"So you guys wanna hang with us at the park" I said not realizing what I just said
"Yea man that'll be great" Corey said
"Ohh right, this is Carter" I said getting her attention. She smiled at him and said her hellos
"This is Mardashia" Corey said She turned and said hellos and started talking to Carter. We were at the entrance to get on The Patriot.
"Here we go" Carter said crossing her fingers. It was only three to a seat so Corey and his girl got in the one in front of us and and We sat together. She held out her pinky and I gave her a confused look.
"Pinky promise is what I always do when I get on roller coaster" She said and I crossed our pinkies.
The Roller Coaster took off. And all I can say is that my stomach was doing summer salts, back flips and front flip. I looked over and Carter had her eyes shut and was smiling ear to ear. She did the most adorable thing possible on a roller coaster.
"Oh My Gosh!!!" She screamed like a little girl. Then the ride started to slow down.
"I was never really afraid of this ride. Actually this is my favorite ride in the home whole park." She said getting off the ride and getting our stuff out this cubby thing.
"Really now if I was to say let's get on the Mamba what you do" I said smiling at her waiting for Corey and his girl Mardashia.
They soon came and we and walked. We had done laughs in between the conversation.
"Hey let's get on the Detonator" Corey said.
"That one isn't even scary" Carter said making a weird face.
We all decided to go. Thank goodness that it we were first up there.
3 Hours Later.
"I'm kinda hungry" Carter days rubbing her stomach. In those three hours we have learned so much about each other.
"Let's go then" I said wiggling my hand down to her hand and connecting or hands. She looked up at me and gave me a flirtatious smile. If she keeps doing that I'm gonna loose my cool. Ohh gosh.
We walked and found somewhere to sit and the girls sat while Corey and I walked up and ordered the food

After a few minutes of waiting we finally got our food and ate it. To wash down the pizza we had Sprite and Lemonade.
"To be honest I'm getting tired" Mardashia said trying not to yawn
"My body hurts... You know what I need right now... A really hot bath... Yup that's it, when I get home, well whenever Langston decides to take me home that's what ima do" Carter said playfully pushing me.
"What time is it?" Corey said
"Uhh well we've been sitting here for about an hour so I'm guessing around 9:45 that means the park is about to close. Carter let's get ready" I said
"Wait can I get your numbers" Carter said handing her phone to Mardashia and then when she finished to Corey.
"Bye" Carter and I said at the same time and laughed in unison.
We drove for about an hour to get back to Carter house.
We arrived and I saw her asleep. She looked so innocent.
"Carter " I shake her lightly only getting her to groan, I tried a few more times only getting groans so I went around and and got her out the car and carried her to her front door knocking on it and her aunt answered
"Uhh she wouldn't wake up, can I take her up to her room" I say shyly.
"Ha Ha yes go right ahead." She said laughing.
I walked up the stairs and into her room and layed her down on her bed.
"You do know I was acting but seriously I am sleepy so that shower us gonna have to wait until tomorrow" She said laughing
"You got me" I said and she stood up and walked my way.
"Good Night Langston Higgins" She said and kissed me.
"Well Good Night Carter Bates" I say through the kiss only kissingbher even more.
"I think you should go now... Wouldn't wanna spoil the fun" She said winking at me as I walking away.
