Chapter 8 - Meet and Greet

Langston POV
I told Carter very little where we were going. But with the outfit she had on she would be just fine. I mean she looked stunning even though that's what she normally looks like.

We were going to Julians girlfriends party and shes my date to the party. I don't care what people say neither does she.

"Hey can we stop at the store I need to get change" she said digging through her wallet.
"Yeah sure." I said trying not to sound nervous but I was beyond nervous

We stopped at a store and she came back out with a bunch of money in her hand, I know she works hard. After she got in I pulled off and we went to Julian's house.
She got out and looked at me
"Really you could have just told me it was a party" She said
"Well Day Day said you didn't like parties" I said shrugging only making her smile.
I grabbed her hand and we walked in together.
"Hey Langston" people kept saying to me.
"So where's Julian" she whispered in my ear.
"Uhh I think in the kitchen with his girlfriend... Probably sucking each others faces off.
I found Julian in the kitchen where I gussed he was and he gave me a surprised look.
"What you got her to come to a party... On God bro you like her" He said punching me in the arm
"Yea I do, but I don't know a lot about her" I said
"Well you do know Jason's like her best friend... Well that's before Anastacia thought Carter had a crush on Jason and Carter said she didn't and she just stopped talking to a lot of people because of that" Julian said hugging his girlfriend and resting his chin on her shoulder.

Carter was with a girl she met in class the other day. I looked at her and was just staring until Julian smacked me in the back of the head
"Aye bro stop being such a pussy and just staring at her go IP to and start dancing with her..." He said pushing me.

I walked up to her and started dancing and she got into the flow with the dancing and started dancing with me.

After a couple of Drinks I was feeling really tipsy... So I sat down on the couch. I wasnt drunk because I could answer every question with slurring my words
Then the music cut off because someone spilled there drink on the DJ set...
"Aye everybody listen up until my new set get here we gone do some free styling" the DJ yelled ...
I looked around and tried to find Carter but couldn't find her.... I walked on the porch talking to Jason
"Dude remember when I was obsessed with Batman" She said laughing... I could hear her laugh all day if I could
"Oh gosh yes, don't tell me you still are" Jason said
"Ahh don't tell anybody that... " she said laughing even more.
"Carter I think you should know Langston has this huge crush on you but the thing is Kellie isn't gonna let you or him get with each other... And if she does anything in give you all rights to beat her ass" Jason said patting her on her back.
"Yeah Yeah... I haven't been in Cali since I was like 14 but I think I'm gonna stay after I graduate... I might even start singing again but I don't I think should. I only sang when we made dumb songs" She said picking at her fingers
"You can really sing... Don't just stop because of what happened with Anastasia... Im telling you this as a best friend... Do your thing... And I know you will... I know you don't give a rats ass about what people think or say about you" Jason said grabbing her shoulders and hugging her...
I finally came out the door and they both turned and looked at me
"Can I steal her for the night" In said smiling..
"Bro. Go ahead I already know y'all gone date so you might as well keep going" Jason said
"Enough Bobby" she says sternly pointing her index finger at him
"Okay okay, im gonna go find Anastasia" Jason says standing walking back into the house.
"CarterbI would like it if we could go and eat something" I said sounding so dumb for saying that... I was suppose to say go hang out at my place.
