Emily led Bill to the lodge, where a bunch of menacing men and women in black armor and leather stared at him with their cold dead eyes.
"Is this the Rebellion?" Bill was intimidated by the scary appearance of the Rebel soldiers. "It looks like everyone here wants to hurt me."
"Yes, it is." Emily pointed to a red flag and a green flag.
"These are the two factions of the Rebellion, the SunBird Rebels and the Moon Serpent Rebels." The Moon Serpent flag was a white snake on a field of emerald green, simple as it is.
The Moon Serpent Rebels had green bandanas while the SunBird Rebels had red bandanas.
"Hey, I'm Emma James." Said a black woman with a big afro. She shook Bill's hand. "This is my partner, Pike. Pike was a hippie with a dread ponytail and a beard, seen smoking something from a lightbulb.
"Why are you using a lightbulb?" Bill asked to Pike. "Ever heard of a cigar or a pipe?"
"Those things cost money, man." Pike uttered in his California Valley Accent. "Besides, Orcana made the green trees illegal so using a pipe would get me in the big brig."
"So you're a pirate, a smuggler no less?" Bill was concerned there was something funny about Pike.
"Totally." Pike led Emma, Bill, and Emily to his vehicle.
"Welcome to the Mothership." Pike pointed to a VW van that was white and teal in color with purple and pink graffiti on it.
"That's the Mothership?" Bill face palmed. "That's just a hippie van with unicorn vomit on it."
"Your eyes deceive you." Pike told Bill. "See what's inside, not outside." Everyone went in the van.
"So, where are we headed?" Bill asked.
"We're going to Club Izumi in Springdale!" Pike stepped on the gas and headed for Club Izumi. When he got there, it looked very familiar.
"Listen, man." Pike explained. "This club used to be a Shell until electric power took over, and fossil fuels are now obsolete."
"So no one uses gas anymore?" Bill was curious.
"Nope." Pike led everyone out to meet his family.
"Hey Pike!" Pike's mother, Anna Mae called. "Long time no see!"
"How did you get here?" Pike asked.
"I broke out of an Orcana holding cell then rode on the back of a taco truck, jumped off the taco truck onto a pizza van, and rode in the back of the pizza Van eating all the pizza until I got here."
"Great!" Pike was happy to see his mother along with his father, who was waving hello.
"Hey son." Pike's dad, Corbin called.
"Sorry to intrude on the family gatherings, but we have a whale to destroy." Emily mentioned. On a long table Emily laid out a blueprint of the device and they went to work.
