"Never underestimate your enemy. Even if you think their weaker than you, you always have to stay one step ahead of them." Kreese spoke as he walked past Elena and Hawk, stopping beside Big Red. "That's the only way to guarantee a victory. Is that understood?"

"Yes, Sensei!" The class called loudly as Kreese eyed them all, "Good. Now let's see if you truly understand the lesson. I want you to kick this tree off the top." He motioned to the wood beam in the middle of the floor with a bonsai tree on top.

"Red, you start." Red nodded before preparing himself to kick the plant but instead ripped his pants open. Elena winced as Red fell down, holding back a laugh.

"Pathetic.. Rickenberger, show him." The boy nodded before doing a spinning back kick and ending up on the floor. Elena winced again as the male groaned on the floor.

"Stop, you're sniveling." Kreese shook his head in distaste, "I can do it, Sensei." Hawk informed with a ready look on his face, Kreese nodded, "Well, what're you waiting for?"

Elena watched Hawk walk up to the beam, "Don't you want a running start?" Kreese asked to which Hawk immediately denied with a smug look on his face before he kicked the beam which sent the bonsai to the floor.

Kreese chuckled at the action, "Not bad. Not bad at all." Hawk grinned walking backwards to stand beside Elena who gave him a fist bump. "But he cheated." Rickenberger spoke holding his arm.

Elena scoffed, "It's not cheating. Sensei wanted the tree down, it's down. You've got to use your brain for once." She spoke to which Rickenberger got in her face.

"Hey! Don't talk to me like that." He shouted to which Jae walked across the mat before Hawk could jump in. "Touch her and I break your neck."

Rickenberger walked across the mat to where Jae had once stood in anger but didn't say anything else as Jae took his place beside Hawk. Elena looked over at the male in slight confusion but turned her attention back to her Sensei.

"Correct, Miss. Reed, unlike you Rickenberger, he did exactly what I asked him to do. If your mind if agile, so are you. That's the best way to beat your enemy. Not just with your brute strength but you have to fight smart."

Kreese looked them all in the eyes as he passed but stopped at Hawk, "Do that, and you'll always come out on top... We'll take a 5 minute break, Rickenberger, Red clean up the mess!" Kreese called to the two males who sighed as Hawk stared at Kreese in admiration.

Jae walked over to Elena as she went over to her gym bag, Adina and Tory hadn't shown up that day so Elena was alone with Hawk. "Hey." Elena looked up to see Jae, "Hey."
